Vehicle Rental Information
If you have chosen a room that includes a vehicle rental it will be provided by Adobe Rent a Car.
A valid passport and driver’s license are required for all vehicle rentals. Passports must be valid for 90 days or more and driver’s license must have been issued a minimum of two years prior to the rental agreement date.
A mandatory $750 USD deposit will be required locally upon check-in and must be provided by a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) issued under the name of the primary driver in the booking. Cash deposits will not be accepted. Deposit will be fully refunded if no damage has occurred to the vehicle.
One driver is included with each booking and must be between the ages of 21 and 80.
All vehicles are equipped with automatic transmission and include unlimited mileage.
Insurance deductible is $1,000 USD for all vehicle damages.
SPP (Total Protection) with no deductible is available locally at a cost of $18 USD per day and must be paid for the entire duration of the rental agreement. Rates are subject to change.
Vehicles are not allowed to be driven or taken outside of Costa Rica. Crossing the Panama and / or Nicaragua border is not permitted.

The good -
1)They upgraded room
2) Beautiful property
3) Nice staff
The bad -
1) No one answers the phone number listed. Tried at least 20 times.
2) Steakhouse closed 3 out of 5 nights
3) Asian restaurant closed 3 out of 5 nights
4) Spa closed the entire 5 nights (I was told they would see if they could get someone to give massages "en-suite" but they never got back to me)
5) Filled bathtub and noticed water was yellow
6) Sand Particles coming out of faucet
7) Lack of information on QR code provided in room as to what is closed on what days/ hours for restaurants, pool hours. You do get 20 pages of cleanliness standards and a room service menu as well as the spa menu so you can see what you are missing since it isn't open.
The hotel is located in a gated community. There is one road leading to the gate and you will KNOW you are on that road because you will be following cars going 5 miles an hour, swerving like snakes to avoid the GIANT potholes just waiting to take out your tires, rims and alignment. Coming to and from this property is absolutely miserable and will tack 15 minutes on to wherever you are driving. After writing a review to Marriott I got an email from someone named Van Vu letting me know that the spa menu for the spa that you can't use is on the QR code. (He did not address the closed spa, closed restaurants, the yellow water, the horrible road, the no one picking up the phone or anything else, though) I could not reply to his email because he used an app to send it and I got a Mailer-Demon response when attempting and when I tried to email him on the email on his signature (firstname.lastname@example.orgSincerely) it was also sent back. I'm assuming he didn't mean to put "sincerely" in his e-mail signature link but it is just another example of lack of detail in this establishment.

Shaquille with hotel security is a true professional. He handled a belligerent guest with professionalism. The man went from shouting and complaining, to happy & content in less than 10 minutes. Shaquille is a true security Professional
