Where mediocrity meets ambition

If you’ve ever wondered what happens when Pinterest dreams collide with reality TV budgets, welcome to the Cambria Hotel. The layout? Oh, it’s nice—like a real estate listing that makes you think, “Maybe I could live here.” The bed? Decent enough to remind you that gravity still works. And the bunk beds? A charming nod to summer camp, minus the s’mores and plus the existential dread of wondering why you didn’t book somewhere else. Dual showers? Brilliant for two kids who love synchronized chaos. But don’t get too comfortable—because the carpet looks like it’s been through more wars than your last family road trip. The towels? Let’s just say they’ve seen things. Ancient, threadbare relics that could probably tell stories if they weren’t too busy disintegrating. Breakfast is a culinary adventure in cafeteria chic. Imagine McDonald’s sausage, powdered eggs by the metric ton, and a dash of chaos for flavor. It’s like they hired Gordon Ramsay’s evil twin and told him, “Make it edible, but only barely.” The elevator floor? Sticky enough to double as a fly trap. The pool? Mostly in the shade, which is great if you’re a vampire. And the security? Aggressive enough to make you wonder if you accidentally wandered into Fort Knox instead of a hotel pool. Would I stay again? Absolutely not. But if your expectations are so low they need a ladder to reach rock bottom, this place might just feel like home.
Nice hotel with the added bonus of the water slides and food areas just across the parking lot of the hotel.

Always a fun stay. This is one of our favorite hotels. It’s so fun. Staff is so nice and our rooms were nice and clean. We stayed in room 1208. We had a view of the freeway and could see down to the pool area. Rooms are a little small for a family but it was fine because we don’t spend too much time in there. This is our 2nd time staying here. We definitely will stay here again.
Overjoyed

Mario at the front desk helped me book tickets on the oceanliner. I was overjoyed by the experience! My time was very short. He made sure I got to see as much as I possibly could. Back story, I lived here for years didn't take the time for the trip .I am so grateful! Now Ilve in Florida. The staff has been extremely helpful with all of my needs.
Just book it, you won’t regret it.

Great place!! We stayed from September 26-Oct 1 as a couple. It was a standard queen room, 2 queen beds and a bathroom. It would be tight for space if there was parents and older staying in there. But for a couple it was perfect. Housekeeping did a great job each time they cleaned. There’s enough towels provided. Loved being able to kick back and watch tv at the end of the day. Breakfast every morning was perfect, great to fill up before trip to Disneyland or wherever you’re going. Great selection of scrambled eggs, egg whites, meat patties, fruit, muffins, cereal, waffles etc. it does get busy so just be patient. The staff are so kind and friendly. The bar next to the lobby is great as well, good food choices and easy if you don’t want to go out. There is also a few restaurants in the same courtyard as the hotel within a 30 second - 1 min walk including a Starbucks and jersey mikes. ART bus stops basically right outside the hotel, and takes you to Disneyland. You do have to pay but can find the information online and through the app. We did a 3 day adult pass which was $16 USD per adult, it was easy and a bus usually came every 20 mins. Bus also drops you in the same spot at the end of the day so easy. I do think some people walk to the Toy Story lot for a free bus ride to Disney, but I’m not 100% sure about that. Think it’s about a 5 min walk, might be worth checking further. Onsite as well is a pool with a waterslide as well as some other things for everyone! Has a basketball court and ping pong table. There’s also a gym and laundry room on site. It’s about $6 USD for 45 min wash and then $6 USD for 45 min dryer. They do have some stuff you can buy there for $4 USD like detergent. There’s also a little shop in the lobby with some Snack selection and some things you might have forgotten like sunblock, lip balm, medication etc. Not far from a Walmart, other restaurants and five below, ulta beauty etc. Grounds surrounding hotel and also hotel grounds are always clean, looks spotless. If you were staying near the elevators I could imaging it would get annoying hearing the dinging often but can’t confirm that as I was a little bit away from them. I know the views vary, ours was facing the car park & highway but no outside noise travelled to us so was quite. The air con is on a wall, which is about 30cm gap between that and the bed so whoever is laying next to the air con kind of blocks it from travelling to the rest of the room which can be annoying during hotter months. This was a great stay, I would absolutely stay here again when visiting Anaheim. Fantastic!!
Customer Sevice Needs Improvement!

The accommodations were fine. But they need to improve their customer service big time. Here are two maddening examples of their staff being rude to a family who came a long way and paid a lot of money just to be treated poorly. 1. My wife sat in a chair at the pool to read her book and try to enjoy a rare moment of relaxation. Suddenly approached by a security person who rudely blurted out “you can’t move the chairs!” She said “I didn’t move the chair. I just sat down here.” And he said “well you need to move. You can’t be here!” It was so off-putting and so rude. She was stunned by the encounter. 2. At the end of our vacation we received a text to that said “Please send your details and I'll make sure you receive your earned points for your stay." I was surprised because we booked with visa rewards points. But I sent them all my info, and received a reply that said “because you booked through a third party provider you would be eligible for points.” This was all great news! But when I asked how to apply the points to my account, they said it was all a mistake and I didn’t actually earn any points. Even though they had JUST said I did! It was such an incredibly maddening encounter, one which THEY initiated, saying they’d help me! Then after 20 minutes of back and forth saying “Oops! Never mind.” We are so glad to be leaving there today!
