Beautiful Resort, Great Experience, Needs a Few Updates

We travel once a year to a different all-inclusive resort. When we first arrived, the resort left a lot to be desired. After a long day of travel this was the first all-inclusive resort where nobody was in the lobby to greet you and share the layout and details of the resort. You check in at the front desk then they shift you immediately over to timeshare people to get your wristband and to be sold. We have been through the timeshare thing many times and quickly declined. They seemed frustrated we didn't want to hear anything. During our week stay this resort grew on us and we ended up really enjoying our time there. Below are some notes of the different areas from our experience.
Staff: The staff at this resort is what made it fantastic. From the housekeeping, front desk, restaurant staff, pool staff and beyond they were all friendly and made our experience great.
Pool: We loved the pool area and the fact that things didn't really get started until 10am. The couple of days we spent at the pool we were down there around 9am and it was nice to just relax and not have to fight for a spot. We have been to multiple resorts where finding a spot is hard even at 9am, here this was never the case. We even notice people coming down mid-day and had no problem, if they did staff was more than willing to help.
Restaurants: All three restaurants on the resort were fantastic. Great food and great service, we even ventured over to Sunset Beach one evening for a meal and it was great as well. The portions here were much larger than other all-inclusive resorts, we found that out the first night, so we ordered less going forward.
Rooms: This was our least favorite part of the resort. The room was extremely dated. We stayed in a basic ocean view king room. From what I understand if you upgrade to the towers the rooms may be a little nicer. Our room didn't even have wall outlets near the night stands to plug in or charge your phone at night. They were doing construction on the room next to us so maybe they are updating?
Golf: If you get a chance to golf at Quivira, do so. The rates were high, but the course is beautiful, and it was a great experience. The rate includes food and drinks at 3 comfort stations on the course as well.
Spa: The wife spent a day at the spa and enjoyed it. She said the staff and services were amazing. Prices also seemed fair.
Beach: If you are coming to swim in the Ocean this is not the place, but we knew this and enjoyed the beach more than ever. It was extremely relaxing just to sit by the edge and listen to the waves. You can also walk a long way down the beach which is nice. We did go to Rose one day to try and get in the water. The water was still rough, and that resort is a lot less relaxing.
Resort: This resort is built for relaxation, pool is more relaxing, not many activities, and not much night life. There is a bar off the lobby that is open at night but there was rarely anyone there. The bar down towards the beach drew a little more people but I believe most people left the resort for true night life. One of the oddest things about this resort we haven't experienced before at an all-inclusive is that you must wait for your "tab" anywhere you go, even just to the bar to order a drink. There is no true bill, but it does have pricing and you must sign. Felt like it was just odd, the staff said it was for "accounting". The free access to the other 3 resorts is extremely nice. We did go over to sunset for dinner and Rose for the beach, Pacifica was still our favorite from our experiences of the others. Overall, this was a great experience and trip. If we found out that they did an all over room upgrade we would most likely plan a trip back, however without that we probably would try another resort next time.

Martin was our pool side waiter here at Pueblo Bonito. He was so so amazing! Anyone who comes this resort, please ask for Martin! He was attentive, brought drinks so fast, and so nice. If you want to relax and not worry about a thing, Martin is your guy.
