Great specialty restaurants. LOUD ANNOYING BANDS ALL DAY.
Brian T (Edmonton, Canada) on Mar 22, 2024
Some things like the specialty restaurants were fantastic. - BUT All the bands every day 1:00-9:00 pm was terrible. Sometimes 10 bands playing at the same time. Different songs / different keys. Each exceedingly LOUD!!! Other resorts said they pay money to have more privacy from Bandos. We will look for them next time.
Great Service & Staff
Mirna714 on Mar 21, 2024
Service, from the moment we arrived, check in, restaurants, pool, everything was first class! Only issue was the outdated room, furniture. The pool area also seemed over packed, not enough towels for all guests, no chairs available at peak time, but thats common with other properties. Nothing that would impede us from staying here again.
Good cost efficient vacation

El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel has an ideal location for afternoon and evening walks on the beach. Early morning tide prevents a stroll until after lunch. The buffet and restaurants were filled with fresh large variety of foods. The staff went out of their way to ensure your needs were met with friendly service. The downside was the age of the facility and the desperate need for a modern do-over. Bathrooms had cracks, leaks and poor drainage. Showers had one either jump aside from the scalding water one minute to the ice cold a few seconds afterwards. Furniture has been abused through out the years and although functioning distracted from the amazing ocean view. Comfortable balcony chairs would have been appreciated. Pool side service was never far away and very efficient. ($20 Peso's very hard to come by in the hotel so ensure you have lots of $20's and $50's for tipping. Resturants have amazing food, entertainment and service beyond especially if celebrating a special occassion.
Great Mazatlan all-inclusive hotel

If you're looking for an all-inclusive that is near the ocean and has access to 2 other hotels, this may be that resort for you! Clean and well maintained hotel chain. Clean rooms, decent beds but we wished the double room had slightly larger beds. Our room faced the pool area and we also had a partial ocean view which was amazing. We wanted a quieter pool experience so we liked going to their sister hotel El Cid Granada. Food was good at this resort but we wished we hadn't paid the $25/ person USD (significantly more for us as Canadians) at the Steakhouse at the Golf & Country club- they have daily specials there so for $245 Mexican pesos, it's better to pay out of pocket. We had to call each morning at 7am to book an al a Carter restaurant the next day- I'm an early riser so not a big deal. You can upgrade to Elite All-inclusive package then book ahead the entire week, but that is $55/per person USD per day- we didn't feel this was necessary. This resort was a 30 minute walk south to the Mazatlan sign too, so close to lots of sight seeing. A nice week away from colder weather!
Spring Break at El Cid Castilla

Great stay. Staff was wonderful. Amenities were great. Several pools to pick from. We selected ocean view and the elite program and were very satisfied. Rooms were clean, had tequila waiting for us in room. 3 couples that stayed in the end units and loved it.
