Massive hotel in a great location

xsv_66 (Murrieta, California) on Jun 10, 2022

The hotel is massive, definitely one of the bigger hotels in the area, it has plenty of parking and even a food court and a Starbucks on-site. Rooms are comfortable but nothing special (for non-suites) but the hotel does offer a great value with some of the special offers they run like their free parking for Disneyland pass holders. Location is great, close to EVERYTHING and walking distance from Disneyland parks, restaurants and shops. I would definitely give it 5 stars if they had a shuttle service to the parks.

Great spot for convention center and Disney

Dan L (Bellmore, New York) on Jun 08, 2022

Had a solid 5 night stay at end of May 2022. Check in process was smooth and our room was ready early. Staff was friendly. Room was nice, 2 queen lanai access so 5th floor. Same floor as pool which we used a lot, includes 2 hot tubs and a kids splash park, adjacent to pool bar. Restaurant in lobby was good for breakfast and dinner, but typical for a hotel with high prices to be expected. Small food court area was nice as well as Starbucks in the lobby. Hotel was a short walk to convention center and a quick $8-9 Uber to Disneyland. Nearby steakhouses and a block or two walk to CVS which was well stocked for drinks and snacks. Lobby bar made good drinks and bartenders were professional and friendly. Rooms were cleaned daily. Check out went smoothly. Overall I cannot think of a legit complaint. It was perfect for our vacation and I would stay here again if attending an event at the convention center.

Disneyland Stay with Family

VCSooner (Camarillo, California) on Jun 02, 2022

My family chose to stay at this hotel because of its proximity to Disneyland, good room rates that included self-parking, and swimming pool. We were allowed early checkin around noon when our digital key was sent my Hilton Honors app. Parking in the garage was easy despite it being very crowded with the Star Wars Convention. The lobby had many elevators so it was rare when we had to wait for one. Our room was a standard 2 queen room. Everything functioned well in the bathroom as well as the mini fridge, tv, beds, and curtains. We selected room 11-129 because we heard off number rooms on higher floors had a fireworks view. When I checked in online, I purposely did not select any of the upgrades for an official fireworks view, but took a chance with this room since it was facing north towards the theme parks. On our second night, we were pleasantly surprised that we could see some of the fireworks from our room. The room was quiet and comfortable, pillows and mattress were a little on the firm side. I also noticed some scuff marks on the wall, but it did not dampen our stay. We were about a 10 minute walk to the Toy Story parking lot so we can take a free shuttle to the theme parks. We also walked up the Disneyland Hotel to eat at Goofy’s one night and it took almost 30 minutes walking with kids and a stroller. The swimming pool was also fun and warm. It was crowded on Sunday but died down on Monday (Memorial Day). The hotel pool bar and grill was open on Memorial Day and they made great alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. The hot tubs worked well and so was the splash pad, although it’s water was a little close that the swimming pool water. I also enjoyed getting drinks from the bar in the lobby. The staff is attentive and makes good drinks.

Outdated, dirty and expensive

washingtondcgirl (Colorado) on May 26, 2022

Yikes. If you like to overpay for poor service, dark hallways, soft mattresses, tiny bathrooms, thin towels and dated, dirty rooms then this is your hotel. If you enjoy quality, cleanliness and a good night’s sleep, I’d stay elsewhere. The photos on this place are very misleading.

Good but still flawed

Seth E (Seattle, Washington) on May 01, 2022

Originally reviewed in 2019, this is an update for 3 nights in 2022. LIKES: Proximity to convention center is a huge plus Large room Comfortable bed Soft towels Starbucks in the lobby Clean property Quick elevators DISLIKES: Noise seems to travel from adjoing rooms via the window area. At first I thought it was from the parking lot, but that was 8 stories below me. HVAC is this particular room on the 8th floor tended to blast cold air directly to the computer desk. A vent deflector could fix that. You'll want to turn the AC off otherwise. Again, room lighting is barely acceptable. The celing light near the mirror by the bathroom was a low-wattage CF bulb. It's 2022. Put in a 75W LCD! Still need to use your phone to find the power outlets under the computer desk Still no USB jacks next to bed (but there was one available power outlet (the other was used by the clock) Bathroom lighting still mediocre at best and no lighted portable mirror. Guys will need to shave by feel. SUMMARY: This hotel is a mixed bag with mostly positive attributes. They've managed to update the size of the TVs, but other concerns are unchanged. I think perhaps the expectations are higher when spending $300 per night (and not being in Manhattan). Hotel lighting is an ongoing issue in many hotel chains and not unique to the Hilton or this particular property. Still, if I return for another convention, I'd likely stay here versus the Marriott next door.
