Homecoming trip to Disneyland

DisneyBride09 (Fresno,ca) on May 17, 2021

This was our first hotel stay since COVID so I was extremly on edge over it all. We mainly picked this hotel as it was a suite style and had a full kitchen and two queen beds. The only downside is the room only had a shower. Traveling with a toddler that is not really ideal but we managed for a couple days. We had a theme park view. While it was the backside of DCA, my toddler still loved to see the ferris wheel and rollercoaster so I would most likely book that view again. Clenlieness - This is where I knocked off the star. In a COVID world, I expect everything to be immaculate. PRISTINE!!! While I was generally okay with the room, the bathroom could have been cleaner. I had to wipe things down before it passed my own inspection. Housekeeping was only done if requested and we opted out to limit people in our room. You put your trashcans out in the morning and they empty them and put a new liner. This was done consistently and was much appreciated. Mask guidelines were followed throughout the property and elevators. Walk to Disneyland was EASY and on the resort side of the property so it was shaded and well landscaped. Breakfast is prepackaged but adequate. I deffinitley wouldn't call it a perk right now but it held us over until lunch. Would I stay here again?? Probably. It was nice having the extra space for our toddler other than just sitting on the bed and the walk to Disneyland was manageable and safe.

Family's first trip to Disneyland - hotel sucked

A7897RLmaggiem (California) on May 08, 2021

Our family spent a fortune planning a 2 day visit to Disneyland and decided to make it a mother's Day weekend of fun. We booked a 1 bedroom suite with a king bed based of the pictures and information on line. When we got to our room it had two full beds. I called down and told them we booked a king. I think the girl was annoyed because we wanted the room we booked with a king. She said she upgraded us to a city view and that's why we had 2 full beds. We literally had a view of the 10 story parking garage wall. We went downstairs to switch keys to move. To our surprise the room she gave us is half the size with a smaller couch. It's a tiny weird triangle corner room. The TV is stationary focusing toward the window so the kids can't even watch TV. When you unfold the couch it hits the TV shelf so you can't get up to go to the bathroom without climbing over the other person in bed. The kitchen is 1/2 the size of the first room. We've stayed at most the rooms near Disneyland for trade shows or to visit Disneyland with family and I will never stay at this hotel again. The front desk staff didn't handle the situation right. Seeing we had a family of 4 with 2 young kids they should have warned us that the room they would be giving us was 1/2 the size before we moved. I stay with Marriott sometimes but do most my travel with Hilton and Hilton seems to handle issues that arise better. We stayed at the Hyatt Place a few doors down and the rooms are much nicer and more family friendly.
