This truly is a magical place. We stayed for two nights in the Kidani Villas section. Our view was incredible! At any given moment, zebras, big horned cattle, ostriches, wild pigs, and gazelles could be spotted from our balcony. We also were able to see the Magic Kingdom’s fireworks from our balcony at night! An unexpected treat! They were far, but still pretty to see. Our room and balcony were both huge! I have never stayed in a room so large on a Disney property. We had a full kitchen and two full bathrooms. It was very clean, comfortable and beautiful! One of the only things that we didn’t love about our location was how far it is from everything…..and I mean far!!! I had no idea how huge this whole resort is. We visited the Uzima Springs pool on our second day, and we had to drive because it would have been nearly a two mile walk each way. Scooters lined the hallways (like a garage) because everything is so far. The Kidani lobby, in our own building, was a quarter mile walk down the hall from our room. We didn’t mind. It’s just something to keep in mind for those who are not as able bodied. Loved all the theming, loved all the animals! We wish we could have enjoyed the dining, but Sanaa was the only restaurant open, and we couldn’t get a reservation. I would love to come back when Boma is open. It is gorgeous! Uzima Springs pool was the highlight. Absolutely gorgeous, clean, wonderful wait staff (Laura was so sweet to us and our son!), and beautiful surroundings. We can’t wait to go back. It’s probably the most magical feeling Disney resort we’ve ever stayed in, and we have stayed in most of them. ??
Have coffee with giraffes every morning!

We had 3 nights in a standard room. I wanted a savannah view, but it wasn't available. You know what? We didn't miss it! We had a small patio with a view of the pool and it was fine. There were plenty of opportunities to visit the observation areas and see the giraffes, zebra, crowned cranes, and my favorite - ankole cattle! The room was a nice size and had a couch. The bathroom was very nice and we appreciated that there was a door separating the toilet from the sink and shower. The pool was very nice, even though we only went once. You want a nice hotel, but it's Disney! You're not going to spend much time in your room. You wake up early and come back exhausted. It was great to see that there was a coin-operated laundry available. It was a little tricky to navigate dining because the few restaurants that are open are booked months in advance. The walk-up option does work well though. There's a bit of a wait, but they text you, so you can be anywhere else enjoying yourself. Also be aware that you will spend alot of time on the Disney busses. This property is probably one of the furthest from the other attractions.
