Long Walk

LamasMD (Miami, Florida) on Jul 06, 2022

The hotel decoration and environment are good, The rooms are small, but some areas are a long walk to the main building. The food area is just the typical Disney fast food. They should have more options. I believe the price is only for being inside Disney, everything else is just like any Inn.

Spacious room, skyliner is convenient, staff is friendly

We didn't mind that this was a value resort, we chose this resort for the spacious layout, which included a separate bed for each of our kids and their own bathroom. Nemo buildings are the best in terms of location, adjacent to both the lobby, restaurant and skyliner. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, especially Liz at the front desk. She shared all kinds of helpful tips regarding the theme parks. The housekeeping staff all smiled and said hello when passing them in the hallway, which was a marked difference from the hotel we had come from for a volleyball tournament, all of those housekeepers seemed miserable. I understand the every other day cleaning for a value resort and we really don't need a cleaning every day, but we wish that the beds could have at least been made so that you feel like you're coming back to a refreshed room after a long day. No the housekeeper's fault, it must be a policy of the hotel. Restaurant had good options, but would be nice if the items changed a little each day.

Fun place to stay

MooRowe (Midwest City, Oklahoma) on Jun 25, 2022

Enjoyed our 4 days ar Art of Animation. Really wished there was carpeting in the guest rooms (Lion King Family Suite), loved having 2 bathrooms, lots of walking bring comfortable shoes. Most of the staff very friendly and helpful, MacKenzie at check out was not friendly and almost rude when i asked for a printed copy of my bill for all 4 of my rooms, which was shocking in comparison to everyone else. We had a minor billing error that was fixed very quickly. This is a fun family friendly resort.

The best of the "value" resorts.

Greg S (Rock Hill, South Carolina, United States) on Jun 23, 2022

Though it's hard to call $270 a night "value" that's Disney these days. We stayed in The Little Mermaid section in two rooms. They're well -themed and pleasant, happy rooms. We had three adults in one, and four adults in the other. So we were not in the suites. Keep in mind, the Little Mermaid wing (3 buildings) is the farthest from the main dinning area and bus stop. So if you don't like to walk, it may be harder. A 7-minute walk for us, but we walk very fast. The room was comfy, good A/C, good shower, and not too tight. We did find it odd that the floor is not carpet, but hard laminate. It's blue to look like the sea, but felt strange not to just use blue carpet instead. Each room had two comfy queen beds. The food court area "Landscape of Flavors" had enough variety for us, but we're not picky eaters. Choices were plenty, though obviously we ate in the parks more than the resort. There is one bus stop, but having the Skyliner serve this resort is WONDERFUL. We rode it to DS and Epcot and loved it. It was nice to be off the buses for two park days. The theme at Art of Animation is great, larger than life and it makes you smile. We were there with our now adult children, but we all loved the neat touches in the rooms, the massive characters outside the buildings and the feel of being in that Disney bubble we all love so much on each trip we take. There is also a "quiet pool" near the Little Mermaid section that we used, so we didn't have to bother with the much more crowded Big Blue Pool near the resort lobby. I'd highly recommend this resort mostly due to the themes, the skyliner, and the proximity to the parks. None of the bus rides ever felt too long.

Kids absolutely loved the statues all around!

psudino (Weehawken, New Jersey) on May 26, 2022

This is a perfect place for little kids who still have a great imagination. Mine were running from statue to statue posing with them and acting like they were in the movies. I think even though this is a value resort, Disney didn't slack off on their signature theming and the grounds are just spectacular!
