You can’t beat this location

443bridgetth (Richmond, Virginia) on Jun 26, 2022

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit on the ground floor which made getting in and out easy. The unit was roomy and comfortable with a useful kitchen and full sized washer and dryer. We could walk easily to Epcot and could walk or take the boat to Hollywood Studios. The added benefit of our room on the first floor is that we could see the bus stop. The place was clean and well maintained. I met that manager and she was wonderful. The pool is the best pool I’ve ever used with a sand bottom and a great water slide. They could use pool side waiters though because you can’t walk from the bar to your chairs without going a long, winding way.

Lovely Stay!

We had a lovely stay at Beach club! Room was immaculately clean and the staff was beyond friendly! The pool was clean and all the food was good. The kids loved the soda shop! Also, it has the advantage of being able to walk to Epcot and use the sky rail to Hollywood studios. Highly recommend!

Pools, Sun, and Fun

We enjoyed our stay at the beach club. The hotel offers nightly events for guests, access to several onsite restaurants and bars and is walking distance to EPCOT, a quick boat ride away from Hollywood Studios and the Boardwalk. The hotel offers buses to take guests to the other parks. We had a bit of a rough check in process as we arrived around 2:30pm and we were told our three rooms were not ready. By 4:30pm we still had not received word that the rooms were ready and called the front office. They released each room about 30 minutes apart and brought the bags up pretty slowly. Once we were settled in we had a good experience. We did eat at Cape May and it was a good option but really pricey for the experience. We also had one dinner at Beaches and Cream which was decent but I would have preferred to just get ice cream from the window. I would recommend eating food along The Boardwalk or inside EPCOT. One of the best perks of the hotel is the size of the rooms and the pool. The pool is massive and has two pool slides. Towels are provided poolside and there are life guards stationed at the pool all day. There are outside restaurants to purchase snacks, food and drinks from. The hotel sells souvenir cups for $20 that you can fill up throughout your stay. They are great for morning coffee, tea, water or soft drinks through the stay. The market on the ground floor sell to-do breakfast and lunch selection. The market has small bottles of adult beverages, snacks, and other items you might need throughout the trip. The highlight of the stay was meeting goofy in the hotel lobby. That was a treat! I would highly recommend downloading the Disney app to help you place to-go orders and navigate the park.

Ok but no magic.

Came to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with our kids. Booked five rooms and requested they be near each other. Didn’t happen! They didn’t even try to put us close. We were scattered all over the property. My son in law got stuck in the elevator for ten minutes, twice. We won’t come back here anymore.

The only magic left is how fast the mouse makes your $$ disappear.

We are long time vacationers to Disney World. My wife and I started bringing our kids here in 1992. We have vacationed here well over a dozen times. We loved Disney World. Many great memories. We wanted to share this experience with our grown children, their spouses and our 4 grandkids. We booked 3 rooms at Disney Beach Resort. First the resort is nice but nothing special. Food options are limited and very expensive. For instance an average buffet dinner was $42 for adults and $25 per child. The children’s offerings were basically pizza and macaroni and cheese. With tip for a family of four cost over $200. Housekeeping at Disney World is nearly nonexistent. They only clean your room every other day. The resort’s trash cans were almost always overflowing. The bushes were not trimmed. The bathrooms were filthy. Nobody bothers to wipe down the outdoor seating after it rains. Transportation was awful. For early access at the resorts we had a 3 bus wait. That translates to an hour wait to board a bus to the park. We were forced to pay extra to Uber to the parks just so we could gain early access. The new Skyliner is convenient at times, but leaving Epcot after the fireworks there was a 2 hour wait just to board. The parks and rides are still good but some of the new rides, especially Guardians of the Galaxy, will cause some people severe nausea. My wife and I both vomited exiting the ride and were so sick we had to return to the hotel. The employee who attended to my wife said; “It happens all the time”. At Magic Kingdom even with early access and hitting the rope drop we were forced to wait an hour in line for any major ride. Gaining entry to the parks can also be a nightmare if your band or phone won’t register or your fingerprint isn’t recognized. The topper is how difficult it is to navigate the parks. My daughter spent months arranging meal reservations and ride access and our experience was still awful. If you just show up to a park without doing research forget it. Employee engagement with guests is nonexistent. The Disney World I knew always had high employee engagement. The bus drivers would entertain you during the ride. Now they say nothing and literally just grunt when asked a question. Somehow Disney has failed in its employee training. Most of the employees I witnessed just stood around gossiping to each other. Pricing for anything is outrageous. Disney nickel and dimes you to death. I felt violated every time I made a purchase. Customer Relations is a complete joke. When I went to complain about my experience they never asked my name, where I was staying or documented any of my complaints. They even had a security guard come in and stand behind me as I listed all my complaints as if I were a threat. I apologize for this long review but I cannot express how awful this trip was. My wife literally cried in disappointment over what Disney World has become. We will never be returning and neither will our children.
