Never realized how much I would enjoy Club Level

872megj on Jun 23, 2022

We were there five nights with four adults and two under age six children. We sprung for Club Level and are we glad we did! We stayed on first floor Hawaii House with a glorious view of the beach and Lagoon. As busy as you are at Disney trying to have all the “fun” you can, having food and drinks available to you at almost all hours of the day was fantastic. Also, the Concierge services on the first floor of the Hawaii House were superb in every way. I give a special shout-out to Lawrence, who helped me arrange a birthday surprise for my son at a restaurant. All in all, a wonderful stay! And I give high fives to Housekeeping. They were friendly and serviced all our needs daily. One downside: when you arrive at the Polynesian, the valet/bell staff were our first encounter. C’mon guys, can’t you muster a smile and a greeting??!! I’ve never seen an unhappier group than these guys. And yep, no leis when we checked in. Polynesian, you failed to make a good first impression.

Wonderful Magical Stay for Spring Break

karenclin (Edison, New Jersey, USA) on Jun 23, 2022

We stayed at the polynesian hotel for our one week spring break trip to Disney World in April. The hotel was absolutely lovely. The room was clean and we were even provided a microwave and bowls. It was a short walk to all the pools which were both really nice. We enjoyed the quiet pool (Polynesian East Pool) as well at the Lava pool and the kids water play area. It was a treat to sto by Pineapple Lanai for the soft serve. Loved the pineapple and easter vanilla flavors. Everything in the hotel room was clean and we were able to utilze the pathways to the Transportation and Ticket center for easy access to the Epcot and Magic Kingdom monorails. Would definitely stay here again for another trip to Disney World!

Love renovated rooms! Big difference!

ConnieBoston (Winchester, Massachusetts) on Jun 21, 2022

We come to Disney at least twice a year. While the Grand Floridian remind our favorite the Polynesian was a great runner up for sure! We stayed four nights (over the course of a split stay) and really enjoyed the facilities. The quality of the rooms is so much better now that they have been renovated but done so while keeping the OG feel of what we all love about the Poly! They did a great job of keeping the old while making it new again. We will def come again! Pool was so much fun and the food great as always.

Pretty good except for some problems

kodySydney (Dover Heights, Australia) on Jun 12, 2022

We arrived at the Polynesian to nobody bothered greeting us or to help with our luggage. I had to walk around till finally I found someone. For the price this place charges you would hope to get some help or greeting. The two interconnecting rooms were really nice. House keeping is not daily. Now for the biggest problem. One of the days I was in my room in my underpants and turned around to a strange man standing inside my room. I got the fright of my life. (lucky my husband was in the room). He stood there staring at me (if this would have happened in Australia I would have called the police) remember I am in my underpants. I asked the guy who are you , at first he didn't reply, then he said he was seeing if we were doing any suspicious activity , I asked what does that even mean no answer. Then he went straight into my grandchildrens room without any permission and they also got the fright of their lives. I am 62 years old what on earth would I be doing suspicious. I told reception about this as I felt insecure and frightened to which he said they are allowed to just walk into our room without permission and its standard at all US hotels. Now I know thats a lie as I have travelled overseas for years. I asked all my other hotels in the US if they did this and they said no they have never heard of this. The receptionist did give me a $50 credit for this. The pool area is like a zoo, not relaxing at all. In fact I put my towel down on a seat so I could go into the pool with my grandson to be told Im not allowed to reserve chairs, really? I was next to the chair. All in all if it wasnt for all the problems I would have given more stars.

Some bad, some good

Our family of 5 hadn't been to the Polynesian since 2008, so this trip was a big deal for us. The last time we were there, we remember being greeted in the lobby with leis, and it was a nice big welcome. This time, not so much. As we arrived, we pulled up to the front of the Poly, and no one approached to help with luggage. So, I walked up to the desk outside, and asked for directions on how to get our luggage to the long house we were staying at. They gave directions, but still didn’t offer to help. So, we grabbed our own luggage cart and just took care of it ourselves. We had 2 rooms reserved, but at 4:30pm, one of them still wasn't ready yet, so while my husband loaded up our luggage, my daughter & I went into the lobby and, I couldn’t help but notice how different it was from the last time we were there - no big welcome or offer of leis (although many employees had them all over their arms!) We asked an employee (cast member) to check on our room, which he did, but just said we had to wait, he didn't know when it would be ready. So far, we were not impressed with the customer service. That evening, we went back to the lobby and actually asked for leis, which they gave us. My complaint is that the people who work at the Polynesian really need to up their game in making people arriving at this resort (after traveling a long way) feel welcome and appreciated. Helping with luggage should be the minimum standard. They didn't do anything to make it magical when we first arrived, and it was a let down. I know we've had a pandemic, but this is Disney World, and when you're shelling out tons of money for a deluxe resort, people expect more. The pros of this trip - the Polynesian is a beautiful resort, and the rooms are very nice. They did fulfill my room request, which I called in the week prior, which we appreciated.
