Disney's Pirate Adventure ($)

Crossing Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon, this pirate cruise treats kids to a reading of "The Legend of Gasparilla"—a real Florida pirate. Donning pirate bandanas, young buccaneers board their seasoned vessel for a spirited pursuit of treasure. Sailing to exotic "ports of call" (Resort marinas), they’ll hear legends of pirates past and discover clues that may just lead to a bountiful treasure chest. At the final port of call, kids split up the pirate booty, as they enjoy a snack (such as goldfish crackers or pretzels) and a drink (such as water or a juice box). Children must be 4 to 12 years of age and potty-trained to join this pirate crew.

The age range below will determine the quantity of children during booking.

A bucket list, dream hotel that ended up being a construction site

EnglishBlondCat (Bournemouth, England) on Aug 05, 2022

The grand Floridian is beautiful. That’s obvious. The pros: - bucket list hotel that looks as beautiful close up as it does from a distance (with the exceptions in the con list) - grounds are immaculate - staff are truly Disney superstars. All of them. Literal perfection. - zero line at check in - beautiful lobby - great for magic kingdom - room had a fridge which was handy The cons - 5 star hotel with a 5 star price tag and a glorified motel room interior - filthy balcony overlooking a construction site which operated I think every day and was incredibly noisy. I think it’s dust from the building work trashing the balcony. - in general there are construction workers everywhere and they directly overlook the main pool! It’s so loud sitting round that pool with the work going on all day and odd and off putting having builders looking down on you sunbathing in a bikini. To be clear they did nothing wrong just working etc and none of their employees were anything other than polite but hopefully you get my drift about it being unsettling! - the other pool is kid mania with continuous (very young) kids entertainment - don’t know what’s worse - that or the construction if you’re not travelling with littlies! - gross old shower curtain and no separate bath - coffee shop takes over 30 mins for a drink - ridiculous! - the cafe restaurant took 40 mins for a mediocre breakfast to arrive - nightmare for getting Epcot - no direct bus so you have to get 2 mono rails changing at the ticket centre. Totally unnecessary faff - busses from Disney springs to this hotel in particular were awful I know I have a lot of cons in the list - and I want to summarise and end by saying this is a truly beautiful hotel, somewhere I’ve dreamed of staying since I was a little girl- but it is a construction zone and so noisy with probably hundreds of site workers in and out of the grounds all day. The rooms are dated and i simply hate shower curtains, especially in hotels that charge 4 figures a night. Anything but a screen that’s touched thousands of other naked bodies :-) will likely stay at Disney again but perhaps Polynesian or even four seasons if the price isn’t totally wild!

Avoid! Should be last choice for Disney Hotel!

548brittanl on Aug 04, 2022

The staff that greets you originally is very nice but everyone else is rude. We have had many rumpled and uncommunicative employees barge into our room unannounced. All of there buses have been reduced. Animal Kingdom and Hollywood studios every other resorts buses come three times before ours arrive. All of our appliances were broken, the coffee, blow driers and the laundry machines were very unsanitary. Insane standards for a Disney resort especially one apart of the top tier. Avoid at all cost out of the park hotels.
