Rather Past Its Prime - Not for Older Visitors

Choose this location if your purpose is to be as close to Walt Disney World theme parks without actually being in the Disney Resort complex. I'd avoid it completely if you have any back or neck issues, as the furnishings will fall well short of anything resembling comfort. The beds are hard, the pillows are soft, the couches and chairs are stiff and non-supportive, and there isn't a throw pillow to be found for miles. I arrived with back spasms, and a week of relaxation, and left with worse spasms, feeling I'd been gypped. It didn't help that 2 of the 4 entry keys I was provided didn't work.
We were here 4-5 years ago, when the property was managed by Sheraton. The takeover by Marriott looks to be ill-timed for my visit, as everything just seemed a bit 3 star. Of course, I'll grant that the CCP Virus has taken a big toll on our hospitality industry, but I spent 6 days in the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal just 3 weeks prior, and the hotel facilities were far more comfortable than this Gold Crown resort.
One point worth mentioning...I did appreciate the quick check-in process without 45 minutes of cajoling to attend a sales presentation cleverly disguised as an "Owner's Update".
