Do not stay here staff terrible

Had a great stay for the first 5 nights, I became unwell as I am recovering from colon cancer. I wasn’t able to fly, checked on line and there was availability for our room type that night. I rang reception and was told my unhelpful staff nothing they could do I need to ring reservations. I did so she asked for my current booking number I was charged and told it was an extended stay and we wouldn’t need to leave the room and just go to reception to get the key cards updated. Rang reception again got another rude staff member said we still had to be out of room for 10am. If I wasn’t happy to call at 8am to talk to management. At this point I was extremely unwell and in a lot of pain. Rang at 8 this time girl was helpful said my partner could come up and get key cards sorted and we didn’t have to leave room. He went up and reception wouldn’t help him unless I came up, even though we explained how unwell I was. I managed to walk up to reception and greeted by the not to nice Delilah. The person in reservations had booked the wrong first name my mothers actually and they were making a big deal out of and blaming me. I was trying my best to stand due to pain in my stomach but there was absolutely no compassion and it was made out to be my fault. Even though booking was with my email card details and same surname. We had already stayed in the hotel for 5 nights and ids etc had been checked. Reception staff extremely rude and ignorant. 2 weeks later they have still not returned my deposit of $125 and haven’t not replied to my review on their own website. Would not recommend this hotel.
Spacious and comfortable and great value

This was probably my 10th stay at this property over the last 15 years and I have stayed in lots of different buildings and unit types. It’s a solid, comfortable, gigantic property that’s perfect for families and is quiet and generally well-maintained and spacious. It’s a lot better than a hotel for a family and I love parking steps from my door. There are so many great facilities and activities on-site. The pool area, in particular, is absolutely huge and gorgeous and looks recently refreshed. The water was also really nice and warm. However, the place is starting to show its age especially in the older buildings. Our room in building 10 at the front was dated—the ugly furniture, honey oak cabinets, Saltillo tile, etc. looks straight up 2008 and the units really need a remodel at this point. Apparently housekeeping only has flat sheets and I got really tired of the bed coming apart every night. Get some fitted sheets! And I realize this is a timeshare property and I booked as Marriott guest—but is it necessary to call my room at 7:30 AM in a vacation destination where I’d like to sleep in to try to swindle me into a timeshare presentation? And then also leave multiple messages on the room phone and call my cellphone as well? Come on, man. No. Overall, a great place to stay and an excellent value but the property needs a little reinvestment to stay competitive.
Dated timeshare trap w/no transportation
Charles H on Nov 12, 2025
If you have kids and/or planning to go to any park, there is no transportation off the property provided at all. Bring your own transportation and pay a daily parking fee or Uber everywhere. Added cost we were not expecting. This is a a timeshare property with 1 small bar restaurant (bar food) and 1 overpriced small market. Limited hours, mobile ordering cutoff is like 830pm. The market has 12 USD for a dozen eggs 5 USD for a to-go cup of cereal and 6 USD for a standard Chobani yogurt...really, also plan on walking everywhere. 15 min walk to get coffee at the mini starbucks. You could try your luck and walk 30 min each way to Publix and cross the dangerous I4. Also rooms are dated, roaches, floor tiles popping, hard beds, grimy, black plastic utensils, rusty interior of dishwasher. We felt trapped on the property with no resources unless we pay to leave to get some. Do not come here with kids or going to a park, you'll be miserable.
Overall very good

I came to this resort with my wife at the beginning of September 2025, we have been here many times and almost consider this resort as a second home. I found this establishment to be as good as ever ever, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and offer a full apartment geel. The grounds are well kept, and we always try and stay in buildings that are close to the main pool, just so as to avoid a long walk anywhere. When i book this trip i always add a car rental for ease of getting around to restaurants shops and destinations, i booked this time a car with Hertz (kia Sportage) it was fairly basic but was adequate in space and comfort for our needs. The only problem i had was the resort are now charging $25 +6% tax per day for the pleasure of parking it on site. Since my trip was 21 days, as you can imagine the total was ridiculous. Now i have looked at other reviews on Youtube and other social media and many have picked up on this charge. For a more indepth look at the property you may want to check out another video review at "Howie's holiday reviews" . I found it very useful and it shows what you can expect at the resort. All in all I really enjoy coming here and can totally recommend it.
Terrible

??STOP: If you don't want to sit in a two-hour sales presentation, do not book a stay here. If you don't go to the sales presentation, you will be charged $250 to your c.card...leave the presentation early...$250 charge to your c.card. They aren't asking, they are telling. We didn't ask for any of this!!! My wife asked 3 times if this was some type of timeshare or Sales thing at booking, the lady said no. Guess what at check-in? Yep, all smiles and a Sales presentation appointment is made. This already set the negative tone for the stay. THE SALES PRESENTATION: A used car dealership setting. You sit in a cubicle with the salesperson. They want you to drop $10,000 , $900 down that day to stay at the condo/ apartment rooms all over the world. We got through it, (my wife and I) No interest at all, not giving my money to this place after the way we were treated. The arrogance of saying the resort time is more valuable than ours by forcing us to go to this. Unbelievable. The rooms: noisy, all night every night. People on both sides, above and below. We did not have a relaxing stay, they lied to us, you have been warned. I will never stay here again. Now here comes the sorry from the resort but it will not change anything about what I just mentioned 3 2 1 go:
