Excellent!

Was one of the best sleeps I've had on a very comfy bed! I highly recommend this hotel. I brought my german shepherd and he LOVED it too (but he hated the elevator hahaha) Everyone was so nice and it was very clean!
No hot water

The room was beautiful and had everything you could need except hot water. First morning the water was so cold in the shower it was unbearable. We informed the front desk. Next morning the water was freezing again. The front desk staff told us maintenance was there and said it was fine and sorry for the inconvenience. First thing I did on returning home was have a nice hot shower.
Excellent Large Suites

For 5 nights, we called The Homewood Suites our home away from home. The front desk staff were professional, friendly and helpful. All are fully multilingual! The management team Donnalee & Kateryna were amazing! They went out of their way to source and supply us with some much needed supplies during our stay. Thank you so very much! We rented a King 1 bedroom with river view. It was spacious and clean! Great kitchen, fully appointed. Large living room and bedroom. This would be very comfortable as a long term rental for business. The hotel had very good soundproofing, no noise issues even with the construction going on across the street. The gym adequate for a couple of workouts. The location was superb. Some good restaurants around, several Starbucks, a Timmy's, a Boot's and groceries. Walkable to the Parliament Buildings and the Chateau. Close enough to the Lyon subway system when required. A close taxi trip from the airport...cost about $30. We loved the short walk over the bridge, to the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Quebec. A little piece of our Canadian Culture. Lets rave about the excellent breakfast! 3 waffle makers made for quick work, few lineups. Always yogurt, fresh fruit, eggs, a breakfast meat, fresh croissants, cereals, coffee/tea/juice/milk and more. I be honest, I did not enjoy being seated and waited upon by service staff who later presented an invoice for the free meal. On it was a space for tipping...I felt obligated to do so. Also, the waffle area was a bit messy, it almost requires a full time employee to keep an eye on this zone. But the waffle batter was fantastic! What a treat! My other issue was in regards to Housekeeping. When we stayed in June, daily housekeeping was not in effect. The room was given a house cleaning after many (4?) days or as requested. While cooking and living in the unit, we created garbage and mess thus requiring a pick up after about 3 days. Plus a re-stock of towels. We did request a full room clean but it was missed on the schedule :( At this time, I am unsure if daily housekeeping has returned, if it has not, I highly suggest it does. The Hilton Anaheim had re-started the service when we visited in April. I enjoy a freshly made bed, garbage removal and towels as needed. Overall, I highly recommend staying in these roomy suites. Great location, staff and breakfast. We were very comfortable and well accommodated.
Nice Suite, Decent View, Many attractions walkable.

Went with Family. Check in was smooth and check in staff friendly. Morning front desk staff need some coffee or something if you get my drift. Booked a King Riverview suite. Loved that the king bedroom was separated from the living room by a door. Sucked that I had to go through that room in the early hours and disturb the occupants of that room. To get around this on my additional nights I just snuck down to the lobby ;-) Great location for walking to parliament buildings and other popular attractions. Byward market requires a car or taxi (or public transport)
If you're white you're alright, if you're brown take 'em down.

I was treated there very poorly. I was publicly humiliated at the restaurant by one wait staff and one front desk staff. Very very prejudice against First people of Canada. They made me feel very unworthy. The staff need to be trained or educated how to treat the First people of Canada with dignity and respect
