Rented a room two days ago with a city view… room 249 , view of a roof and with binoculars you could see top portion of the art museum. Refrigerator didn’t work . Two tiny cramped bathrooms . Some guy took our temperature on the wrist. We work in a hospital and the only accurate temperature is far from the wrist … so why bother in the first place. The parking is 40$ !!!

Hotel was Stunning

Such an amazing hotel experience even during covid. Staff were friendly and accommodating! The safety measures taken were the best I’ve seen. The hotel had so much character inside and was absolutely stunning. Great location that’s close to everything!

High praise for Mr. Claude Briand who ensured that our experience at Chateau Laurier Ottawa was a pleasant one. He is a great person to speak to regarding the history of the hotel just a wealth of knowledge. His compassion and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. Overpriced, disappointing,

Premium rooms should come with premium services and amenities, particularly with the hotel nearly empty during covid. We love the chateau and have spent many nights here over the years. We really wanted to treat ourselves after packing up our ottawa home of many years but were disappointed with the ineffective HVAC, poor shower pressure and lack of place settings for the in-room dining table. Overall we felt it was overpriced, we didn't get a good night's sleep because the room was hot and even exiting the parking garage was problematic because the exit gate wouldn't read the ticket that was provided. Overall our experience ended up being negative and feeling underappreciated.

Classic Hotel with Prompt and Friendly Service

Despite the COVID restrictions the hotel staff are engaged, friendly and positive. The rooms are well appointed and fairly spacious. We ordered out t=for one meal and had one room service for another and the hotel accommodated both options well.
