We stayed here for a Father’s Day weekend with our son and out grandkids. We made reservations 3 months in advance and had requested a handicap accessible room near pool as my husband is blind. They told my husband they had a room on the bottom floor that would work for us. When we arrived they said they had our request in places and put us near the pool. After getting in our room we realized it was not handicap accessible. We called front desk and they told us they don’t have a room like that available. We were very disappointed but the room was clean but smaller that photos showed. I liked the kitchen available for lunch and dinners in. Beds were super comfy. Unfortunately the grounds are dirty and unkept. We had to call for a clean up of our patio area to remove cigarette buts and an old eaten corn cob. Too bad as this is a pretty property. Pool was dirty so we went to my sisters place nearby for a fresh swim. My son had called and requested additional shampoo twice for his boys for their shower and never received it so I had to run some upstairs and around the building to them as our rooms were super far apart. They seem very short staffed. We will not stay again unfortunately!

Check in was awful. The desk clerk gave us keys that didn’t work. When I slogged back to the desk with heavy bags, he smirked and said he knew all along that the keys didn’t work because the lock was broken and could only be accessed with the hotel’s sole pass key. I verified that the pass key worked but I declined to have a room without a working lock. What if we needed emergency service or there was a fire? He first refused to provide any other room and then insisted he would have to charge a room change fee because the room door had been opened. We had no time to find another hotel without being very late for our dinner plans; as it was, we were late and had no time to clean up. Ridiculous. Our room was fine once we got one but I would hesitate to stay here again.
