Comfortable stay

ann144 (Auckland Central, New Zealand) on Apr 08, 2024

Room was spacious with a comfortable bed. Kitchenette was well kitted out. Nice big pool (heated) but no hot tub. Not giving this 5 stars as reception staff (all the ones we interacted with) were unfriendly and unhelpful. Housekeeping staff were the opposite, friendly and helpful and very adept at blocking the narrow aisles with cleaning equipment at checkout time.

Clean nice hotel with friendly staff

Jillybackpack (Vancouver, Canada) on Apr 05, 2024

This is my second time staying at this hotel but first since it was opened as a Homewood hotel. The hotel was clean, pool area was really nice and service was great. The room was large (king with sofa bed) was large and well equipped with the kitchen. The only possible negative was the layout of the room. The bathroom is off of the bedroom with the king bed in it so if you are staying with friends or a couple you have to open the bedroom door, and walk past the bed to go to the washroom. It was fine for us as it was my dad sleeping on the pullout and me sleeping in the king with my little one but could have been awkward if I was sleeping in the room with a partner. The breakfast was great. Very filling. A fair amount of choice and the staff were very accommodating. I would stay at this hotel again in a heart beat. I miss the desert heat.

Nice room, bad breakfast

L2210VVmichelles (Minneapolis, Minnesota) on Mar 18, 2024

We stayed here as a family to attend the tennis tournament at Indian Wells. We had a two bedroom, king, two bath suite plus a rollaway. This was super convenient for our family of five. Our room was spacious and clean. The laundry facility was nice to use as we were in the middle of our trip. The downside was really the breakfast area and the quality of breakfast itself. The area was packed and very messy, the food quality was not good. Not a great experience especially when paying $500+ per night.

Average stay, clean rooms, nice employees

290jaya (Toronto, Canada) on Mar 18, 2024

Stayed here for 4 nights while traveling with friends in Palm Springs. We rented a car which was great, and they do charge for parking. The hotel grounds were average as well. Pool was simple, lacking a hot tub. The rooms were clean, but I wouldn’t say too spacious. Bathroom and surrounding layout wasn’t the most spacious thing. Breakfast was also average. Fruit that was provided was always not yet ripe such as green bananas or very hard melon. The hotel overall was very average. Nothing bad to say, but nothing outstanding.

Very Comfortable Hotel but the Staff Wasn't Nice or Friendly

yepperooni (San Francisco, California) on Mar 13, 2024

Very nice hotel that's centrally located. It's about a 10 minute drive from Palm Springs Airport, a 15 minute drive from a lot of nice restaurants, and a 25 minute drive from The Living Desert Zoo. We came to Palm Springs to visit Joshua Tree, The Salton Sea and the Living Desert, and the first hotel we stayed at in Joshua Tree was so dingy and uncomfortable that this one made up for it. The room is nice and clean, it comes with a kitchenette (and they supply paper towels, plates and utensils), and the bed was really comfortable. If we ever come back to Palm Springs we promised ourselves we'd stay here again. In addition, they offer a really nice, satisfying breakfast, and on the Wednesday night that we arrived, they had a free Social in which they provide some appetizers and drinks and you get to meet other guests. The only thing stopping me from giving this a 5-star review is that the hotel staff isn't very friendly. A small correction to that: the housekeeping staff is very friendly. They had a smile and were very nice to us during our stay. But the front desk staff could use an attitude change. When we arrived, the front desk person raced through the check-in and information so quickly that I had to ask her a couple times what she just said. I don't think she smiled once while I was talking to her and it almost seemed like I was inconveniencing her day. Same with the morning hotel staff person when I checked out. I was wondering where to put my key and she was staring at the computer and if I had to guess, I was probably interrupting her Facebook reading because she also seemed annoyed at me. I don't know if it's like that at all Homewood Suites but I'm guessing that this one sells out so often there's no incentive for them to improve their attitude.
