A+ resort!

Ksm1128 (Fairfield, Connecticut) on Jul 06, 2022

Absolutely loved this resort - from the pools, dining, bars, golf and shuttle to the local mall - we were impressed. The room was beautiful and very large. The bathroom is stunning! We found the beds to be so comfy. Kids loved the lazy river and pools. The staff was very helpful, esp Delvecchio at the front desk. We are already planning on our next trip!

Great property would go again

aaronsV7666NY on Jun 30, 2022

There is a lot of activities this hotel provides and is well maintained. I'll keep this short: 1) Property is definitely geared towards families - they have daycare and lots of activities/pool geared towards kids. 2) Do a good job making you feel welcomed. It's not the Ritz, however they do a wonderful job handling getting a large number of guests through their doors. I received a call welcoming me to the property on my room phone although come to find out they were pushing a tour of their Villas (guessing it's a timeshare sales pitch and I was offered $200 or another stay to listen). 3) Great golf course at your back door. 4) You will pay a resort fee, so be sure you find out all the benefits that is included in that fee. There is quite a bit like free bike rental. 5) Gave 4 stars for a nice, clean, and well run property. True 5 star properties are hard to come by and you're paying a major difference from what this hotel is. Still nice and would go back. It would be beneficial to stay more than one or two nights. They also offer free shuttle rides to the Kierland shopping area - super handy!

The Best Vacation!

LynnK161 (Puyallup, Washington) on Jun 27, 2022

From the moment you arrive you are greeted by the best in the business workers-Tim is the head of the team and he has a great team! Lance, JP, JB, Lucas, Dave, and Eduardo are the most attentive and friendly workers who put a smile on your face every time. Troy, Matt, and Brandon are in the front and always are taking the best care of their customers. When you first arrive in the lobby you will be greeted by Betty, the lobby ambassador. She is the sweetest and most welcoming lady and makes sure your stay is extra enjoyable. James is the room control specialist, I called him ahead of him and I can say I have never had anyone take better care of me on my vacations, he is the BEST! He really outdid himself- very friendly and knew exactly what I was looking for. Delvecchino, Telesia, Amy G., and Derek E. were also very helpful and accommodating during our stay (front desk & managers). We had breakfast every morning at Nellie’s and cannot express how outstanding Narmin was- she was the hostess & makes you feel like you’re part of the family. Veon, Nickolas, Shakera, Robert, Max, Matthew, Allen, Stephon, Jason, Jennifer, and Michelle are all an asset to Nellie’s and without them it would just be a building. I had a problem with my safe and Brandon & Anwir (security officers) were there very quickly and were so helpful. I locked myself out of the room and Fatmir along with Brandon and Anwir got me back in a flash! Linda and Alejandro are top tier house keepers! I want to thank all of these people for providing me with the best vacation possible and will be back every year to come!

We come to this resort every so often. Love the hotel, staff, lazy river, the food , I can’t think of anything we didn’t like. Everything seemed clean. We enjoyed it for sure! There’s an outdoor mall nearby for other food options, etc. oh and the bagpiper is fun to listen to!

A Great Family Stay

Lisa20 (Calgary, Canada) on Jun 20, 2022

We have stayed here several times over the years, but this was our first stay post-covid. Given some of the recent reviews, I was concerned that the resort I loved had gone downhill, but that was not the case. I see some people complaining about the price; I get that. However, I wouldn't spend $800 a night for any hotel in the US and choose to go when the pricing is cheaper. Rooms: I love the updated rooms. Someone else called them drab; I think they're a beautiful neutral coastal spa kind of look. Light blues, a natural wood colour, whites and colours brought in from the indigenous art they have. I found it very pleasant and relaxing. I agree with others on the sheets and pillows - loud-ish (but not too bad) sheets, and not my fave pillows. However, not enough to ruin my stay. The Family Fun Team: Hats off to Captain Fun and his crew. My kids LOVED all their activities, and we all loved the opportunity to win smoothies and margaritas. We participated in almost every event every day. My daughter told Captain Fun that she wanted his job when she grew up because she loved the activities so much. The team was so great with all the kids, especially Madison and Yesse, who I could see were favourites with many children. The pools: This is my fave lazy river in the area. I'm not sure why people call it slow. It's faster than the one at the JW (and wider) and it's well, lazy. One day it was windy and tree bits flew in, but it was clean on non-windy days. You could see on Saturdays that people would litter their empty cups along the sides, but aside from people taking more care, they were cleaned up every night. There is a DJ on Fri/Sat/Sun. We enjoyed the music (we're in our mid 40s). Restaurants: We liked Nellie's a lot. I especially appreciated that they had half portions of several of their dinner entrees. I don't always want a giant meal. I also appreciated that they had a couple vegetarian options as none of the other restos did (unless you wanted a salad). The buffet breakfast wasn't anything to write home about - it was basic and sadly cold. The heat lamps didn't do much. However, breakfast from the menu was very good, and hot. The dinner staff was fantastic, the breakfast staff was indifferent. Staff: Big thanks for the warm welcome from from the front desk, and the bellman who helped us to our room. I saw people mention in other reviews that they didn't have daily housekeeping, but we did. Maybe it just started again? Overall: I still really like this resort, it is my favourite resort in PHX for families. The staff is all pretty much fantastic and went out of their way to help. Even people who were new at their jobs were very knowledgeable and went above and beyond. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back again!
