this is not my first time on the select side. I was there in 2017, 2020 and now again. We had a beautiful room. Francis picked the most perfect room for us to be in partial ocean view. We overlooked the hot tub in the infinity pool. We had a nice breeze and shade ! Francis was quick to help us at any time. he speaks great English he knows the resort its staff members surrounding area well. don't be afraid to pick his brain. He was fabulous and incredibly and genuine . I would like to mention our maid. Always smiling asking if we needed anything. The rooms and resort are very clean. Our selectselected restaurant was Hermes Food quality and service was 10 at times. Being a chef i was very impressed ! We tried the Mexican and the Italian food was great. The service was lacking on all aspects. which was disappointing you were lucky to get a drink or. a second glass of wine. The buffet was great. breakfast was repetitious, but that should be expected but it was fantastic and we had bacon fresh omelet station lots of fruit very good lunch and dinner You never go hungry fresh cheese meats bread if you wanted to make charcuterie ! the breakfast servers and the lunch servers fantastic service was outstanding ! Well done ladies. and then the the dinner service even on the select side again service lacking in the buffet . They didn't seem like they wanted to be there and like we were an inconvenience can't win them all. Ok Bar staff. Joe, Henderson , Juan, Sandy. Juel. not sure if I spelled that right there is one word gentleman. He went for her night off, and I never got his name again. Fantastic. This group works HARD ! Never a scowl always smiling joking they know your orders they get to know your name. . Poolside service was impeccable. and always present the food in the select side in the little room was Fresh always being changed and if you needed somebody or something, the staff was always there for you. I would rate select side at 10 out of 10 any given day and I cannot wait to book them again next January for 14 days. Thank you to the staff job. Well done everyone. Connie

This resort has great sunsets. Good food, drinks and service is excellent. Juan, Sandy,Jose,William, Peter and everyone there are amazing!

To slow to check in bad services i won't recommend i never will come back this hotel usually was very good but now services and food is bad no more recommended any more

Milton in the VIP section bar was outstanding! Recommend VIP adult only section if you are not bringing little kids to truly take in relaxation

We were there at the end of November 2025. The good: -Not very busy on the select side. Always chairs available but not always with a parasol. -It was quick to get drinks at the bar no lineups at all. There was also an option to get sandwiches ordered at the bar from 12pm to 3pm every day and they were very good. -They also had a snack area beside the bar from 12 to 4pm although it was very small (and they kept items at room temp, so after fish or meat has been sitting there for 4 hours, I wouldn't risk eating it). -Air conditioning in the rooms worked very well but loud. The rooms were big and staff was friendly. -The Jacuzzi was actually heated which was nice first thing in the morning when the pools were a little colder. -The location was good, close to sosua beach and good for snorkeling and diving. -Beach was nice but not adults only. Diving and snorkeling staff at onsite center were good. Not great: - No towels or water replenished most days in our room. - Internet was spotty - We had a broken bathroom door that would not lock and sometimes would open by itself when it was closed (they tried to fix but were unsuccessful). - They advertise poolside bar service, but this is untrue. Most days I never saw anyone taking poolside orders, 2 days I did, but they would take one order at a time and try to avoid eye contact to not have to take orders. Should not advertise a service that does not exist. -Sportsbar and coffee shop only open from 12 to 5 which are weird hours. Always pretty empty. The Bad: - Our first room was on the 4th floor. The second day the toilet broke, and after 3 calls and waiting 5 and a half hours with no one showing up to fix it, I got tired of going up and down 4 flights of stairs every time I needed to pee. We asked to change rooms and were moved to a second floor room. That toilet broke the next day as well. This time it took 1 and a half hours for someone to come. He replaced some parts inside and repaired it. - The SORBET.. Don't eat it. This is at the international buffet. Its a pallet cleanser they give to everyone. Its in this nice little decorated cup with some plants and the sorbet is put inside an empty fruit. What you don't see, is they reuse this!!! When people are done eating the sorbet, they bring the cups out to the bar outside, they scrape the sorbet out of the fruit, and then reuse it for the next people. Absolutely unacceptable. This made we worried for how they prepared food in the back that we didn't see. This alone, is enough to make sure we do not ever return to this hotel. We did get food poisoning while on this trip, which is no surprise with these unhygienic practices. - There was a day we came back to our room and all the towels were gone including those we had hung up to reuse. We had to call to get new ones delivered. They got delivered and then about 6 hours later at 9:30pm there is a loud knocking on our door, we were already in bed, didn't even have time to get to the door before they opened it and they were coming to deliver towels? That is late to deliver towels and open a door without giving people proper time to answer... - Small buffet, breakfasts are exactly the same every day. - Food not kept refrigerated or warm and left out for hours at room temperature. Overall was a pleasant stay, but my concern for getting sick from the food here is what would keep me from ever visiting again.
