Simply disappointment

Run down hotel that advertise more than it actually has.. Basic services are very poor or non existent, it claims to be all inclusive, but if you consume what’s in the room, they won’t refill or charge you for it. In top of everything bad, I left some stuff in the room and when I come back to ask for it, that told me that the room had been cleaned and they found nothing. I won’t recommend the hotel, and definitely will never come back.
A vacation from hell

Ion arrival we were given the wrong room. Once in the correct room we found telephone didn't work and poor water pressure in toilet. Cockroaches in bathroom and closets. One dim light for the room. Food was not desirable and had to go to neighborhood grocery store for coffee and food items. For the entire week we had to use taxi service to go to breakfast and dinner. This is an all inclusive resort and we incurred a lot of expenses for 2 meals each day. I will give one person many accolades. Margarita from housekeeping. She works 11 hours each day and has one day off each week.
Great family resort

This was our 5th stay at Crown Paradise club. There were always plenty of food choices at the buffet and the fresh fruit was always awesome. The specialty restaurants were great, especially the Italian and Japanese ones, but a bit tricky to get reservations. The beach was so much fun and we also enjoyed the evening shows. Would recommend this resort for families with young children.
Pick a different resort

Know this is a long post because I want to be descriptive about our experience. I had read the reviews but we had waited until the last minute and were already flying to PV, this was our only affordable option for 5 people. Before you say it, I know you get what you pay for but this was over $1000 each and we’ve stayed at many different resorts in that price range with much better experiences, The hotel check in was simple and they had free WiFi, which was great. Our family had scheduled the trip separately, but when asked to be placed close together, they weren’t able to accommodate and we were on complete opposite sides of the resort. We knew it was old but didn’t expect bugs, mold and cracked tile in our room with a door that could have easily been kicked in. There are 3 restaurants only serving dinner and a buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner. You must make reservations for the restaurants, through the app only beginning at 9am. By 9:05 they were full and no more reservations could be made. We couldn’t make the reservations together because we were staying in different rooms. So each night, our family had to see the “captains” at each restaurant to see if they could accommodate or we ate in the buffet. The food in the restaurants were very good but the food in the buffet was below average and the same thing almost every day. They had a snack bar that served hamburgers, hotdogs and fries each day at lunch. Ice cream seems to be a coveted item because you could only get it between 1pm and 4ppm and you had to be seated in the buffet to order it. I’ve never seen this at any resort, and we’ve stayed at many. The entertainment crew did a great job at the Nitro Club every night, the 9pm shows we’re focused on kids. The resort has a pool table but kids are allowed to play on it and it’s no longer in the best shape. There is no curfew for little ones and often times when we were playing pool the room was full of tired and fussy little ones. The activity crew was very nice but no pool games for adults, other than water aerobics. The kayaks could only be taken out from 10am to 1pm and there was no snorkel equipment available. We love to play volleyball, but more than half of the time, they pulled the net for a wedding or dinner on the beach. The vendors are the worst and almost encouraged to hassle the guest. There is a rope to separate the resort from the general/public beach area but it was of no concern to the vendors. They walked in droves up to all of the guest pawning wares, braids, weed, etc…. At one point I counted 10 vendors walking around the palapa hassling the guest. The security guards were very chummy with the vendors, but kicked a couple off the beach volleyball court because they didn’t have a bracelet. The sister resort is adults only and even though we were advised to go there to play volleyball one day, we were harassed by 3 different security guards because we had the wrong color bracelet. Most of the issues with the restaurants were simply due to being short staffed, although those working tried to be helpful and nice. They have a restroom and shower you can use before leaving if you have a later flight, which was nice and check out was easy. The resort is old and not enough staff. We won’t be back to this one.
Fun resort for children

We stayed at the Crown Paradise Club Puerto Vallarta in March 2024. The resort was very fun with good drinks and wonderful hotel staff. The kids were very catered too and had a lot of fun. The room we had was pretty noisy in the main corridor. The room could have been cleaner but similar to other 4 star resorts I have stayed at. Fresh tortillas at the buffet every morning were a real plus for me. Really fun waves for body surfing with a small boogie board.
