This is a very nice Hotel. He food is good, the drinks are great. The pool is very nice with excellent customer service all around. This was our first visit but we very much enjoyed the beauty of the Hotel and really enjoyed the pool and bar area. It is a great place to stay

For the price it was good

When I booked this resort I thought/assumed it was located on a beach and it is actually two blocks off (a five minute walk - no big deal). They have a shuttle bus or you can walk. When I checked in no one explained any of this to me and I had to ask other guests. It was a few days into the trip that we discovered there was a portion of the beach belonging to our resort with loungers and a bar available. Our room was 105 which is a great location but needs a redo. The sliding balcony door does not latch shut. We had maintenance “fix” it but it soon stopped working. Even the outside handle for the sliding door was missing???????. The air conditioning was wonderful and whisper quiet ?? The laundry room must be down the hall as at around 3am each day you can hear carts being rolled down the hallway. If you are a light sleeper and this will bother you keep it in mind. The plus side of this room is that it’s located ground floor just off the pool and the resort cat likes to come visit you when sitting on the deck???? Food wise the buffet is small but adequate for what we wanted. Sadly no guacamole but lots of fresh fruit. There is a specialty restaurant we never visited and not sure if it was included as there was a menu posted outside with prices. The one thing that was disappointing was that we were there Saturday to Saturday and the Friday night prior to arriving they had a Mexican Fiesta night and then did it again on Saturday a week later so we never got to experience it. There was a couple of nights with singer entertainment but not anything listed on their site which says “Our recreation program includes: water aerobics, beach volleyball, ping pong, beach soccer, bingo, water polo, dance classes, cooking and cocktail workshops and much more. At night, get ready to enjoy our shows hosted by our specialized staff filled with energy and creativity.” Not sure if this was due to the time of year (one week starting on the Saturday after Good Friday/ Easter). Lots of Canadians stay here and some for weeks at a time. All in all, for the price it was good. We didn’t want a big fancy resort. Location for taking the local bus into town or to the Marina for Thursday night market (it was much larger than we thought it would be) makes it a great location. Staff are very friendly and always wanting to make sure you are fine. One thing that was extremely nice and unexpected was they didn’t remove my band upon checkout as my flight was a night flight and they told me to enjoy lunch before leaving. We booked through WestJet Vacations.
