This is my third time at this amazing resort. I met my boyfriend there in April 2022 and we’ve returned together twice since the.
The rooms in building 1 in front of the pool are phenomenal. You walk out of your patio and straight into the pool. I’ve stayed in the master suite swimout as well but I prefer the rooms (1103-1131) much more.
Beaches are beautiful.
The staff is great. There do all they can to help you and make sure you have a fantastic holiday.
Johnathan, our butler is the BEST!! I’ve worked with him on all 3 trips. He even kept in touch with me on his days off. He helped arrange a room change for us this trip to a prime location. There is nothing he wouldn’t to to make sure our trip was perfect. I just love him!!!
The restaurants and market place buffet are great. Lots of options for everyone. They are even attentive to food allergies. There is something for everyone!
The only negative comment I would have after this trip is that my boyfriend and I are both suffering from some breathing issues now. We found a mouldy smell in the rooms… likely due to the air conditioning filters being in severe need of cleaning and being changed. I have mild asthma and it’s been pretty bad throughout the trip and even now since I’ve returned home.
Other than that… we absolutely love this hotel and would seriously consider returning however the air quality in the rooms would need to be addressed and improved.
Medicore but still a vacation

20+ mins from airport
Swim up bar
24 hours snack bar
Adults only section (to survive, do it)
Hotel style layout (you will hear the people at the other end, no problem)
Super hard beds
4 a la cartes
Not bad for seaweed
NOT ENOUGH BEACH CHAIRS
Bit windy being on the Atlantic side
It was still a vacation lol I’ve been away 15+ times and I have NEVER seen such a shortage of beach chairs. Gone by 715am. People sitting on their towels, just the sand or grabbing restaurant chairs and bringing them down. Get more chairs!! PLEASE. If you did manage to get a beach bed they were amazing. Stayed at the adults only and it is the thing that saved us.
Hotel is falling apart and needs a lot of touch ups. Normally I don’t care but it affected our room. The roof was falling apart and we could hear the outdoor shower on the main floor (3 flights down) dripping alllllll night. Could hear every word of our neighbours convo. If you farted outside, we heard you. Ear plugs were my favourite thing I packed.
Day 1 - all a la carts were booked for the week. Cool! Due to us being in adults only some nice man working there said he’d help us and slipped a note under our door with 2 reservations for the week. His choosing and his time lol but still..reservations! Mexican - 2*. Asian 3*. Brazilian - 4* IMO
The booze was great and the food was not bad at all. Same thing everyday yes, but deal with it. It’s a buffet. It was good and we never starved and never left wanting.
The timeshare people…ya. Trust the reviews. Stand tall and let them know you’re not interested and they will go away. Eventually. They need to lay off on how many people are working this scam. Damn. They will offer to help you with anything and it’s just a scam to get a timeshare.
By day 3 my back and hips were aching from the bed. I’m in my 30’s. Like concrete. The shower was always warm, no matter the time of day. Never hot. But always warm.
Lots of drink choices. Always a show at night. Make the best of it if you come here.
We were on vacation and had a great time but we would not be back to this resort.
Stay somewhere else!

Thankfully, I had read reviews after booking this place through Air Canada Vacations, and knew what I was getting into. If I hadn’t, I would’ve been really disappointed.
We were prepared to upgrade to the VIP adults only side when we arrived after reading all the reviews. That upgrade cost us over $100 for each day of our stay, for a total of just under $1,000 for seven. Unfortunately, I don’t know that the trip would have been palatable without that upgrade. Even with the upgrade, we did not get all of the things that come along with the upgraded room, such as a bottle of Moët upon arrival, or butler, service, or anything else of that nature.
The facilities are in much need of repair, and, the company is aware of this because they will tell you to your face if they bully you into sitting through the “not a timeshare“ timeshare conversation, that they try to drag everyone into upon arrival. We did our best to resist but it was persistent and intense.
We had “one of the best rooms“ (bldg 1 first floor, pool facing) but still the shower was slow, the tub is unusable, the sliding door made a terrible noise and the building was regularly flooded and blamed on the “pool algae.”
The food, is not good. End of story. Even the “restaurants” are really just the buffet extended.
As you may read in other reviews, You will need to wake up rather early to reserve a spot on the beach. Thankfully, as an early riser, I could go down at 4 AM each day, but even at that point half of the chairs on the beach were already reserved. There is no enforcement of the “30 minutes to reserve only” rule. So be prepared to wander looking for a spot if you go down after 6 am.
The folks that work in the restaurant or to clean your room, could not be better nicer sweeter more lovely people. But beware of the “bell boys,” and the gentlemen in the lobby, wearing a tie when you first arrive, Rodney, again, they only want to drag you into a timeshare convo.
As I said, I read the reviews before I came, but unfortunately, after Air Canada got me and I booked this vacation. If I hadn’t read the reviews, I would have been terribly disappointed, but because I had I was prepared.
If you haven’t already booked, don’t book here.

Jorge was awesome. Very helpful from the moment we met him. He made all our dinner reservations for us to any place we wanted. He went above and beyond for our requests. While we were out for dinner for my girlfriend’s birthday, we asked Jorge to decorated our room special to help surprise her and make her make her night special , again he went above and beyond! He was super nice, will definitely request him if we go back!

I don't normally like to complain about my vacation experience because I am on vacation on a beach and not working but after my stay at this resort I need to WARN anyone that is thinking about staying here. I travel often and I felt like I read enough reviews and thought I would try staying this time at a resort that I have never been to before. What a mistake.... this resort was NOTHING like I expected. My reservation had several things listed that were incorrect. First thing was listed was no reservations for the al-la-carte restaurants...this was not true I was only given 3 reservations to the restaurants!! I had to eat the same thing for 4 nights at the buffet. No room service is offered....no snacks/no breakfast or coffee in the VIP lounge as it was listed on my paperwork. The worst part of the stay was the HORRIBLE sales people - they were NON stop and it started as soon as I arrived. I had one guy Victor that lied and told me he was my butler and wanted to show me the resort since my room wasn't ready....two minutes later I figured out who he was and was so irritated that he lied to us! He actually told me that if we wanted to have the best stay with the best service we had to join 'the club".... this resort desperately needs some maintenance and cleaning issues to be addressed as well.
I will say the highlight of my stay was the staff and the location of my room... the beach butler he was amazing the servers in the restaurants were so nice!
