Honeymoon

The reception was wonderful. We had a great time with great people. Elisabeth, very attentive showed her professionalism and did everything for us. She was phenomenal. The room was beautiful. The pool, the yard were very clean, restaurant was fantastic. Ramon was very nice, attentive and always with a smile. He really helped us celebrate our honeymoon. We really felt comfortable...My wife and I enjoyed our stay. Nice resort. Ready to come back.

Always a beautiful stay at this resort Nikki, Ramon, Javier Christian, the entire staff is awesome. The resort was well kept and clean just beautiful. Hope to return soon to this resort that we love so much.

Great all inclusive hotel, remote location

The very best thing about this hotel is the staff. They were all outstanding people, really friendly, well trained, multi lingual and extremely hard working. They deserve the best. The hotel itself is nice enough. Room was great - extremely clean, regularly serviced, comfortable beds and bedding. Bathrobes and slippers were good. No iron. Pool was extremely clean too. The hotel was quite empty - not overcrowded at all. They were trying hard with the food and the service in the restaurants and succeeding. We just went for the weekend so we didn't have all inclusive, but we got a 4 course Argentinian steak and wine dinner for $45 and we could have kept drinking until 1am within the same deal had we so wished. I've certainly had better steaks and wine elsewhere, but given the price and the extremely good service I would say that was damn good value. Unfortunately the beach is tiny and smelly - a natural seaweed problem affecting the whole Caribbean that we can't blame the hotel for, but something to be aware of. Don't imagine you are going on a beach vacation at this hotel. I know some people like to go to a resort and stay there for the whole week. I'm not like that... the friend I travelled with and I like to get out of the hotel and see different things, experience local culture and get to know the surroundings. We walked directly out of the hotel and around the Cap Cana marina, that is pretty but very quiet and there are a few restaurants. If you want to go anywhere else in Punta Cana it is a 20-30 minute drive away. The hotel staff subtly and indirectly warned us against ordering Ubers so we didn't try, though I suspect it would work just fine. The hotel's recommended taxis charge US$30-$50 to go anywhere. Uber would be $10 - $15. I know people have to earn their livings, but why should you have to pay 3 times normal taxi fares just because you are in an all-inclusive resort??? I was also disappointed with the $35 fee for the covid test. It's not that $35 is particularly expensive, but it's a Dominican government initiative to offer free covid tests to encourage tourism so it doesn't seem right for the hotel to charge for them. Overall, would I go back? Probably not, because of the remote location making it so hard to do anything outside the hotel. If you want a kind of small hotel experience that is too big to call boutique but smaller than the average all-inclusive, where you stay by the hotel pool all week, go for it and the friendly staff here will take great care of you.

The People of TRS!!

This is my 2nd visit to this extraordinary property (first pre-COVID). My sister-in-law & I had the opportunity to make a quick decision to go away - & we are so thrilled we chose TRS Cap Cana! Joel was at reception to greet us - & just set the tone for an incredible week. He was sincere & efficient! Next - our butler Shadia checked in to hook us up on What's App & get us acquainted with the hotel & make sure we knew how to reach him if we needed anything! The lobby breeze & layout of this hotel was absolutely perfect & welcoming! We wanted a hotel that was not overly crowded yet offered amazing service and amenities. Quickly we unpacked & headed to the picture perfect pool. To be greeted by the BEST bartender one could expect - Christopher!! He was fast, efficient & super friendly. Made us feel right at home! Our 7 days here existed of enjoying the peaceful surroundings, wonderful food, leisurely strolls along the resort and marina. The wait staff were always welcoming with special attention from Sabrina to greet us (complete with temperature check , allergy check & sanitizer) to the incredible waiters at our table. Bautista , Manuel & Sandy & Adonis deserve praise in that area! They work non-stop & hours upon hours to give over the top service! To top off our vacation we made a couple of trips to the spa! Rinnis & her staff were amazing. Mr Luis you have a superb team of people here - thank you for an incredible experience! I was so happy to share this trip with family.

Im Going Again!

If you read the reviews they are correct! There isn't much beach but they will transport you to one. Remember April-October the seaweed is a hot mess so STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT IT PEOPLE ITS MOTHER NATURE! Moving on...it does smell a little weird due to being in the fish lodging area, you'll get over it. I cant complain about anything other than the rusted fixtures. The food wasn't bad at all. The entertainment was extraordinary, just two dudes doing their thing! And the spa was huge but it was nice. Adonis is great for any dining, John for entertainment, and Christopher & Alexander for drinks!
