TRS Cap Cana Hotel

This hotel needs to be renovated and people need to know that this is a marina bay. It is by the ocean but it doesn't have it's own beach. The hotel could have better animation during the day. My butler did not do his job. I could only speak about him. The room a poorly decorated. This definitely is not a 5 Star hotel.

Incredible Resort

We absolutely loved our stay at TRS Cap Cana. Irwin was amazing! Made us feel very welcome and cared for. Great food and drinks! The entire staff was amazing and super nice! The pool and the pool bar is where we spent our days and you end up meeting and hanging out with new people. Definitely want to go back!

We had amazing visit from arrival until checked out. .My sister and l were treated like Royalty. Amazing butler Javier, took care of our needs he made himself availabe to around the clock. Francisco our activity director Embry our mixologist all host restaurants waistess waiters

Over promise under deliver (with attitude)

First off I want to address this is not a romantic getaway location. The pool was an absolute party scene and the relaxing (quieter) pool had the beach volley ball net. You can escape to the spa pool but the service is extremely slow, it took us over 45 minutes to get a towel. I am not sure waiters go there to offer drinks, not that you get that at the other pools. And let’s be honest, it’s easier and faster to get your own. (And with less attitude) The main theme of this resort is over promise, under deliver with attitude. We paid extra and booked a ocean view. We checked in and received a Marina view. Nothing was said or addressed since we were okay with the location since it was much more private. I was so excited by all the reviews saying how awesome the butler service was, and I cannot tell you how disappointment I was with my experience. Our flight was delayed so we were told our butler was coming to see us, we waited over an hour until we walked the property ourselves. I finally asked who it was and was told to text her. She didn’t make an effort to see us and check in on us. Even after we tried to order room service and was told our food was delivered and we weren’t there (which was not the case). So we went to bed hungry one night. Neither the butler or manager of the hotel cared how horrible our experience was. There was also a large language barrier. This was my third trip to the DR and I can tell you I have never had this much difficulty communicating. There are a few staff with limited English that were sweet and tried really hard. But most would say okay to your face and walked away. Which meant…. You weren’t getting whatever you asked. If you are looking to be pampered on a relaxing, romantic getaway this is not it. And not worth the money.

Great honeymoon location! Amazing staff and fantastic resort. The food was very good for resort food and everyone at the resort was super friendly. Truly had something for everyone from pool parties to relaxing spas. The onsite beach wasnt great but they would shuttle you for free to a fantastic one 10min away called Juanillo Beach.
