This is not a 5-star resort—more like 2 stars at best. I regret booking this trip based on misleading reviews. The service, cleanliness, and safety standards were far below expectations. Staff Conduct: Multiple staff questioned why my fiancé didn’t speak Spanish, which felt discriminatory. A bartender demanded a $1 tip to provide change, and I was catcalled by a male employee near the pool—completely inappropriate. Food & Cleanliness: Buffet food was consistently cold, burgers were served raw, and kitchen staff handled food without gloves. Cross-contamination of raw and cooked meat was evident. Despite claims of multiple restaurants, they all serve the same food from a shared kitchen. Rooms: Our "renovated" room had a broken toilet, stained seat, mold, non-working lights, and a leaking shower. The bed frame was noisy and broken. We had to switch rooms due to the condition. False Advertising & Safety: The beach was unusable due to seaweed, and no cleanup was done. Water activities were advertised but unavailable. The pool was dirty, and we were told not to brush our teeth with the tap water—a concern with a pregnant family member. My fiancé’s CPAP machine required distilled water, but though it was on-site, the staff refused to release it. We had to pay $25 to get it elsewhere. Poor Management Response: When we raised these issues, management was dismissive and offered no solutions. This experience was incredibly disappointing. I cannot recommend this resort or any hotel operated under Wyndham. To reiterate, don't wast your time, money, or energy on Wyndham Alltra.

The resort id phenomenal, I came with my family and best believe I came back with a new one ??. Everything was well organized and you are never bored in that resort. Best believe I’m coming back summer 2026.

I normally do not write reviews, but this time it is necessary that I write one. My family and I just returned from a wonderful vacation at Wyndham Alltra. We had such a great yime in this hotel that our family of 9 decided to extend our stay simply because of the incredible care, warmth, and hospitality we received from the moment we arrived. We stayed at th VIP area. The room was spacious, cleaned and renovated. We were at this hitel 2 years ago when it was Jewels. We decided to come back because of the staff and excellent service we had. To start off, the entertainment team, Yordano, Edward, Wilbin, Ander, Pedro, and Cristofer deserve special recognition. They were more than just fun and energetic. They made us feel like family. They made sure we knew all the activities for the day. We already miss them. It felt like we had known them forever. They are truly an amazing team. We unfortunately could not use the beach as there was a ton of seaweed, so be aware if you are traveling in July. Probably, the hotel could ensure the beach was cleaned as we never saw anyone cleaning it during they 8 days we stayed therw. However, even though we were dissappointed at that, the guys made sure they kept us engaged with their daily activities, night shows, and amazing conversations. I feel, these individuals don’t just do their jobs, they pour heart and passion into everything they do. I believe they are honestly the soul of the resort. I want to give a special shout out to Claribel for been the best bartender at the VIP lounge. All restaurants were great, but I enjoyed the Japanesse, Brasas and Costa Azul the most. Servers Maria and Puro Joel, were amazing, and provided excellent service. I recommend the Spa. I loved the deep tissue massage. I thank Olga, Niurka, and Geordalina for their professionalism and peaceful, rejuvenating experience. Every visit to the spa felt like pure luxury.An Unforgettable Stay – Service That Went Above and Beyond Honestly, the entire staff at Wyndham Alltra went above and beyond. We felt cared valued, and truly welcomed. We recommend this resort 1000%. Very family oriented, great for little kids with their awesome kids club. If you're thinking about booking, don’t hesitate. Get ready for magical days surrounded by wonderful people!

Stayed at the Alltra with my wife, daughter and her significant other for our first adult vacation. Staff was amazing, food was fantastic, the resort was beautiful and well maintained. We stayed in a suite with the VIP percs. Room was spacious and clean and cleaning staff was attentive and friendly. Alvin at the bar and Jesus at the excursion table were enjoyable and friendly to interact with. Swimming with the dolphins was and thw snorkeling / party boat were a blast. All in all this was a great vacation for us.

We have a lot of history with this stunning, beautifully renovated Resort. We began visiting this property when it first opened about 25 years ago. It was called Sunscape the Beach. We continued visiting this gorgeous property 3 times a year under the brand Dreams Punta Cana for the next few decades. It became Jewel Punta Cana in early 2020 but went down hill fast. We were so sad and thought we would never be back. But to our great surprise we learned that the property was bought and renovated this Spring. We booked right away and were blown away by the changes! It looks brand new, beautifully designed and decorated with the same stunning landscaping. The rooms are fresh and welcoming. The outside of the buildings are completely modernized with every detail perfected in classic white/black. The food was the best it has been since the French Canadian Manager left ( that is saying a lot!). The biggest and by far the best surprise for us was finding so many of our loveable staff back and joyful as ever! We have known some of the staff for decades and they are truly like family to us! Sánchez (Claven), the restaurants Manager has been our oldest friend at this property and he sees to everything running flawlessly! He set up a beautiful dinner for us in the buffet. Thank you! Elizabeth Jimenez the sweetest, kindest Manager you will ever encounter. I’m not sure of her new position but she really made sure we had everything we needed! Way over the top Customer care. You will feel like you are visiting family with this staff ??. Rosa in the PC restaurant at lunch and breakfast was a gem! Wow can she cook and her meal presentation is gourmet! Clarabel in PC Lounge is the best bartender on property! She is skilled (especially her Blue Kamikakes!), but she is also fun and so outgoing and professional! Such a treat to see her “home” again. Stephanie in the coffee shop is lovely to see every morning and her frozen coffees are best! We are so excited to return because more and more friends are making their way back. This resort has added an amazing sports bar and a spectacular water park for family fun. The children on our bus transfer were over the moon with excitement when the water park came into view. I think they were really hoping to get off that bus and stay at Wyndham Alltra with us! We are already planning our next visit and hope to see you this time Elizabeth for longer! I highly recommend this resort to anyone! We have travelled with our grandchildren and as a couple. Great every time!
