This resort has hundreds of coconut trees, palms and tropical vegetation indigenous to the area. Enjoy the "Stay at One, Play at Three" option where guests can also use the facilities of the Grand Palladium Bavaro and Grand Palladium Palace Resorts.
very poor service at the review, after 10h flight, next 2h transfer, accommodation lasted 1.5 hours. Average standard rooms, although there was information about the modernization in 2017. Pools are OK but they should try harder to clean them. They do it every morning, but not exactly. The beaches are not cleaned of algae, they do it once every few days, which spoils the charm of being in the Dominican Republic, which is famous for its nice beaches. Other hotels are better at dealing with this problem. Better quality of service is in the rooms, with the bass (drinks) or in the restaurant. Overall, the location of the hotel is in a nice spot surrounded by lots of greenery, palm trees and exotic plants. Part of the hotel was completely closed. Food typical for most hotels (there is a variety and something for everyone). Al'a carte restaurants in name only (we do not expect high-quality dishes from world cuisine, Mexican cuisine was probably the best). An interesting program of optional excursions. Overall, my stay was successful, but I would not choose this hotel for the second time. Dominican Republic has become very commercial, it is completely different from the one I saw 14 years ago. Hotels have hardly changed.

We stayed at the Grand Palladium Palace Resort spa & casino from July 16th to July 25th 2021. Let me start by saying the resort it’s self is beautiful, our room was beautiful we had the swim up pool room, the beach and the pools were all beautiful and the food was mostly great that was definitely not our issue on this trip. We have stayed in a Grand Palladium 4 times before this , twice in Mexico and twice in Jamaica and loved it ….Our issue on this trip was definitely the language barrier because even though we came to Punta Cana, we expected the staff to at least speak a little bit of English since a lot of tourists come there from the states , however I would say about 10% to 15% of the staff spoke English which caused a huge issue where ever we went . No one understood us at alot of the “ Reserved” restaurants, we ended up walking out of two because the looked at us as if we were the issue and we should accommodate them even though we paid alot of money to travel there and we speak English nothing I can do about that . We felt alot of attitude towards us and side looks because we were lost in translation, even when you would point to menu half the waitress still didn’t understand us . Prime example after complaining to management and they made us reservations to the Japanese restaurant which we knew the workers at least spoke a little English the waiter approached me at least 4-5 times asking if I’m happy and how the service is but in the most condescending way possible which made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
Secondly: The Tv in the room which had a lot of channels was mostly in Spanish and when we would come across that one English Channel the tv would freeze constantly, we attempted to call maintenance twice but it kept going to voicemail so we just said forget it .
Third: There are absolutely no lifeguard on duty at the pools or beach so if you come with young children please make sure to watch them at all times . I’m not sure about the family pool side but the beach and adults pool definitely did not have lifeguards.
Fourth: The people on the beach trying to sell you stuff we’re extremely aggressive which isn’t the hotels fault but I felt that the hotel staff should at least tell them if someone says no keep moving , these people were like bad! You can say no over and over and they kept trying to sell you something or they would do there rounds and come back and ask again . I fell asleep twice on the beach only to be woken up by someone trying to sell me something. A lot of the times I said no thank you they would either mimic me or give me a dirty look after. Fifth: The entertainment is trash. Half the lobby singers would either sing 80% in Spanish which we didn’t understand but it was like happening in all the lobbies , we didn’t see any fun shows or something to get us excited . Sixth: a lot of times after being out of the room for 6 hours or more our room wasn’t clean or they would clean it but not give you towels or something you needed , once our remote was missing and we would have to roam the hallways looking for a cleaning lady to get what we needed which I should not have to do or our mini bar wasn’t full with at least new water . Seventh: I brought up my concerns to the manager and he said someone in guest relations would contact me which never happened. 5 days into being there a fellow guest asked us if we received our coupon book which we never got and had to ask for which should have been standard when we checked in . Eight : They have very little drink options , the only beer you get here is Presidentie (literally no other beers) and as far as drinks they have 2-3 good options . They do not have strawberry daiquiri frozen so if you want a Miami vice for example they put pina colada frozen with this very thick strawberry-syrup that is so sweet you can barely enjoy it . In the other Grand palladium we stayed in on our first day checking in our room typically had like mini welcome drinks in the fridge like a small rum or something as a welcome ! Not here it’s 4 beers, 1 water , 1 sprite , 1 coke and Ninth: The rooms have like zero noise proofing . You heard every person walking down the hallway, every flip flop, every workers talking , all the lobby musicians all of that in your room, so if you enjoy sleeping or having quiet in your room, good luck . I was constantly woken up by loud drunk people walking past my room
Like little stuff like that add up after a while where your joy of being on vacation starts to deteriorate after a while because your wasting so much energy with these little inconvenient moments . I just have to be honest this is my second time in punta cana , first time at this resort and I can with out a doubt say I will never come back to Grand Palladium Palace Resort Spa & Casino in Punta Cana , DR again . We just had way to many issues , way to many inconvenient moments and it ruined our trip . Your better off staying anywhere else or going to another country . When I stayed at the Majestic Punta Cana I didn’t have 1 problem so it goes to show you. So if I was to rate the Grand Palladium I would say :
