Simply Magnificent

Karen W on Apr 20, 2024

The Staff is what makes this place remarkable. Kind, considerate, obliging, and always there for whatever u may need. Butlers. Gustavo, Mario, and Daniel... Head waiter Gonzolo, chef Yahdir. Concierge Fatima, Carla and the prestige staff .. especially Laura and Daniella. We cannot wait to return in July. I must mention Sergio and Trinidad. The bartender Daurio in the lobby... Simply amazing. Also at lunch Edwin and Christan. Also Willie at the Mexican restaurant. Ceaser and Malchor at The Italian.. So many more. They make it what it is truly... From the food, rooms, restaurants, entertainment, the total environment is top of the line. Also sweet beautiful Elizabeth at the buffet every day. I can go on and on. Home away from home..We won't go anywhere else.

Another grand Grand trip!

ALFS575 (Houston, Texas) on Apr 19, 2024

We go to this resort every year as our anniversary present to each other. While it has changed over the years, we still believe the service is great. We stay in one of the beachfront rooms and Luis and Marcelo definitely took care of us. So did Miguel as the beach waiter. Thanks again for a great trip.

Grand Paraiso

Stacey R on Apr 18, 2024

The Grand is amazing. Because we are Rose Gold Club members, they exceeded our expectations. Alexander, Manuel, Isabel and Alejandra took great care of us. They are the best. The Grand was outstanding. We would recommend this stay to all. All you can eat and drink of quality food and beverages.

Beautiful Place. Fantastic Staff

Resort is beautiful and the all-inclusive amenities are fantastic. We stayed at the oceanfront butler suites and our butlers Miguel and Karolina went above and beyond to make our experience here memorable. We will definitely come back again.

Great resort, wonderful staff, food and drinks are well above average, but it has a very relaxed vibe.

Jeremy H (Annandale, Virginia) on Apr 15, 2024

This was our third time visiting the Grand Paraiso. The property itself is exquisite! The grounds, pool, and a la carte restaurants are all very good. The service here is impecable and the staff members, from the butlers, to the poolside drink servers and the entertainment staff all go out of their way to ensure that you have a great time. The resort has top shelf liquor and US Domestic beer options such as Coors light if that is what you are into. Once you are checked in, you can take advantage of their app to order drinks at the pool, room service, dinner reservations etc. Don't be afraid to ask for a bottle to be delivered to your room from your butler. The Asian Hibachi restaurant is always our favorite and the food in the buffet is decent. It does get old and repetitive eating the same buffet options day in and day out so be sure you book reservations at the a la carte restaurants. There are 3 or 4 other resorts attached to the Grand that you can visit at your leisure as well as a nice shopping center with a pretty decent burger and taco stand that are both complimentary. I would say the best thing this resort has going for it is that there is plenty of cabanas and pool chairs that have shade available. Same goes for the beach. Do not forget things like OTC medicines, SPF chapstick or sunscreen because you will pay quadruple the normal price at the resort and there isn't anything super close by. Playa Del Carmen is a $32 one way taxi ride which was kind of a bummer, but we did venture down there on one night. As many pros as this resort has, the major con at least for us was that it is a very laid back, almost sedate property and if I had to guess, the average age of the guests is 60+. Not that there is anything wrong with that, just be prepared for a quiet vacation. My wife and I are in our mid 40s and while we appreciate the fact that the place is not overcrowded with spring break college aged students having foam parties and taking body shots off of one another, we did get a little bored and were happy we only booked 5 nights. I don't know what (or if there is) a solution as many of the guests seemed to love how sedate it was. There was a group that was there for a couple of nights during our stay that "kept the party going" for a little while, but once they left, the vibe changed quite a bit. That might be the solution, go with a large group where you can make your own fun.
