Our family just returned home from a week stay at Now Sapphire. My husband and I visited with our 12-year-old son. We were worried that he may not find his place there. However, the Entertainment Team went above and beyond to include our son and to make him feel special. He loved everything from beach volleyball, to archery, to the dancing at night. Shout out to Luigi for checking on our son daily and encouraging him to take part in things. His energy was non-stop! Ivan was one our son looked for daily. Ivan helped him feel comfortable in groups and got him on the dance floor. The whole team works so well together. You can tell they love what they do! Martin, Martha, and Victor at the pool were so friendly and make sure that my husband and I had a drink in our hand and the perfect seat by the pool. Now Sapphire is full of beautiful people and we hope to return!

We stayed from July 13-17. Some of the resort need updating. First room near got cool and we were relocated at 10 pm the first night. At this time of year the seaweed overwhelmed the beach making it unusable. The smell was noticeable further into the resort. Not all restaurants operated everyday. Many appear worn and dated. With that said we did have a good vacation and enjoyed our stay. We spent most of the time at the adults only pool, which was very good and not too crowed. They say the resort is going to move from the NOW level to Dreams. It has a long way to go.

Now Sapphire is a wonderful resort. July 10 - 17 was our third visit, having last being there in March. Comparing the two visits is easy. Preferred is still the best way to go. The renovated rooms are excellent. The Adult Pool is a welcome respite from the noise and activities (which some people crave) at the resort pool. We're not really pool people. We go to Now Sapphire for the beach, the wonderful Caribbean. It had the odor of rotting seaweed. No one was at the beach. the seaweed band along the shore was six to eight feet wide and a couple of feet high. The ugly waves were a brown slop. Little, if any, effort to clean up the mess was evident. The entire resort was permeated with the bad odor. We won't go back in the summer. Last March the staff stayed ahead of the seaweed and the beach and water were beautiful.
The food is better now and the restaurants are open and excellent! The Preferred Lounge is larger now and a great place to visit. Thanks to Alfredo (bar), Geovanny (pool), Eloy, Ivan, Francisco, Marianna, Gloria (Market/Bluewater), and Enrique and Arlene (Preferred.)
Covid protocols were excellent, the testing was a big plus and despite the beach we had a nice vacation.

My friend and I came to this resort together and had so much fun! There is so much to do and never a time to be bored. The staff made us feel so at home and definitely helped to make the trip so special. The entertainment staff including Luigi, Karely, Naomi, Omar, Julio, Efrian, and Ivan were so fun to be around and always encouraged us to do the activities! The bartenders Jaime and Roberto took great care of us too! Lastly, Martin by the pool was very nice and was always attentive and ready to help. Overall, we loved our stay here and hope to be back soon.
Not Up to Standard

Now Sapphire is not up to standard in comparison to other Now Resorts. We have stayed at Now Onyx and Now Jade (which are now in the Dreams category). In order for Now Sapphire to reach the level of a Dreams, they have to improve significantly.
The biggest problem we noticed was that the resort is short-staffed, which causes other issues. Issues like waiting over an hour and a half to be seated at dinner. Some nights we did not have turn down service. The resort grounds (although a minor issue for us) were not well-maintained.
The resort gets two stars because of the staff, if not we would not give it any stars. A big shoutout to Antonio at the Pool Bar, Ricardo (Hibachi Cook), Natividad and Federico (Cibu Breakfast, Bluewater Lunch), Moises and Alberto at the Market Cafe. The staff was always great, friendly, and happy. This is something we have noticed at all the AMResorts we have stayed at.
