After over a $150 million restoration, the ever-iconic Caribe Hilton combines comfort and beauty across 17 lush acres for one positively paradise destination. Minutes from the culturally-rich center of San Juan, this beachfront resort features lively colors across 652 modern rooms and suites, most with private balconies.
Savor one of eleven dining options including, Morton's the Steakhouse, local flavors, and the signature Piña Colada – invented at the resort in 1954. Unwind with a spa treatment or loosen up in the hammock garden. Continue your workout routine at the expansive Fitness Center, improve your tennis stroke or just cool off at the oceanfront pools. Daily activities, a game room and playground are great for entertaining the kids.
Diamond Hilton member. I was nervous before we left reading some of the reviews, but overall had a nice experience and staff was friendly. Enjoyed the pool area, and the beach cove area was nice to swim in (beach guys set us up with an umbrella and table - no charge). This hotel was closed in 2017 due to the hurricane and reopened in 2019 after $100M renovation. Hilton Honors continental breakfast is adequate, you can upgrade to the full hot breakfast for $11 (reasonable) that is Embassy Suites level including cook to order omelettes, waffles, etc. Had a car (parking easy across the street $25/day) short drive to old San Juan where we went to dinner, we did eat at Morton's in the hotel which was good. Resort fee ($40/day) which is always annoying. Did not eat at Mojito's restaurant at the hotel entrance was told it was bad. Not much in walking distance, recommend a car also for day trips such as El Yunque.

Overall nice stay. Drinks and Restaurants were ridiculously overpriced. Everyone was very friendly. Uber was very accessible and much much cheaper than taxi service offered by the hotel. Spa and Gym were great.
