All Inclusive!! This place deserves 10 STARS!!!

This place deserves 10 STARS!!! Upon arrival, we were whisked away to the resort and promptly met at the check in area to begin our weeklong stay. Everything about the resort, including COVID safety precautions were explained to us. Our room, just a regular room, was AWESOME. Won’t spoil the details of the complimentary in-room mini-bar, but WOW WOW WOW!! The restaurants, bars, pools were INCREDIBLE. All of the wait-staff were friendly, respectful and courteous. The food was scrumptious!! Anything we needed, the staff was there to assist. And the POOL by Azul’s restaurant was FABULOUS!! And when they say ALL INCLUSIVE, it is truly ALL INCLUSIVE, even room service and the never ending, bottomless drinks! Our favorite was the rhum punch, certainly no skimping on the alcohol. Perhaps our favorite place to stop at was the Ascot Pub. Talk about FRIENDLY, talk about FUN. Can you sing, who cares, stop in for karaoke, stop in for the food, you won’t regret it, what a night to remember!! Edward the bartender is “2 thumbs up”, ask him for a “special”, you will love it and don’t forget to ask him the name of drink!! The manager, Maxima, was spotted dancing to the music, she was the BEST. What makes a resort like this so special is the staff. When you give your restaurant server a huge hug when departing, you know that someone special was taking care of you. Her name was Janneal, she waited on us for breakfast and lunch at Azuls. Other staff were so friendly, so memorable!! We met Jonathan, your friendly, smiling room service delivery person; Romaine, like the lettuce so he says, a great bartender and someone who remembered me from my last visit; Manda from housekeeping, our room was ALWAYS spotless; Vedette, our Azul dinner waitress; Dawn, our Point waitress. Did I mention Edward yet, what a ROCKSTAR from the Ascot Pub and his manager Maxima!! There were others, but these individuals stood out to us!! Oh yeah, we stopped in at the sister resort, the Maho resort and had awesome help from Okefa, from the front desk!! We are already planning our next visit. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!! I will give you 20 STARS if you had an airport shuttle!!

Could be better for the price!

The staff was very friendly and helpful for the most part. I especially want to recognize three staff members that made my stay very pleasant, (Jenny & Shanida) from Azul. They were extremely professional. Both anticipated my wife and I needs before we made the request. It felt like a real vacation and not a get away for seven days. The other staff member I was really impressed with was from the main buffet restaurant ( Farika). She was very accommodating in making sure we had everything on our plate before leaving her station. The three staff members are trumy the heart & soul of Saint Maarten and have given me a reason to return. That being said, this resort sucks when it comes to entertainment. None for anyone under 65. Also, the food was average at best. Every dinner my wife and I had was served with mash potatoes. The breakfast at Azul was decent but everything else was either overcooked or dry. I was issued a credit for purchasing the Covid test through the hotel but was unable to use it which as a ripe off . If these things aren't as important to some people as it was for my wife and I, than its not bad. For me, I probably would prefer not staying for more than 5 days or go elsewhere. email: drewilliamson43@gmail.com
