Arrived alone and met friends here!!! Raul in the lobby bar makes the best mojitos and is the best ice catcher lol friendly !!! Mojito vip!! Thank you for making my stay so welcoming! Hotel is clean!! Staff friendly!! Grounds are beautiful!! Go no where else!!

If you have any hesitation visiting Cuba these days, don’t! Just go to Melia Las Americas in Varadero. This hotel is the best hotel in Cuba! Not only is it a beautiful hotel, the grounds, the golf course and the beach are GORGEOUS! But what makes it very special is the staff! Everyone is friendly and helpful. This was our 7th stay at Melia Las Americas so obviously, we love it there! There was enough food at the buffet to please everyone! Lots of fresh fish perfectly cooked in front of your eyes, pasta, eggs in the morning, butter, bread, lots of fresh fruits nicely cut and presented, yogurt, all you need to make a nice salad, really it seems this hotel is in a world apart from the rest of the island. The only thing I missed; is the filet mignon they use to have at the French restaurant. But we enjoyed our meal there anyway. There are also 3 other “A La Carte Restaurants” and they were equally good. There is absolutely nothing to complain about the cleanliness of the hotel. ALL the bathrooms are always clean (even the beach bar bathrooms) and there was always toilet paper in all of them. My husband enjoyed training at the gym every morning and treated himself to a massage at the beach with LIRENIA twice. When he was at the gym, I enjoyed the beach and the activities like aqua fitness and danse lessons with ELSY. Her energy and her sense of humor makes those so much fun! This time, we did not bring our golf clubs for health reasons, but we decided to try it one afternoon and rented the clubs and cart at the Varadero golf club house and we had lots of fun. I have to give a special mention to our room maid NAYROBIS who did a good job cleaning every day. To our friend IMAR the bellman who we enjoy chatting with so much! At the buffet, CRIOLLA and JACQUELINE are the best morning cooks, they make the best omelets and after all these years, we love them like family! Also, at the buffet our waitress ROSY was so attentive and always smiled. The staff at the French restaurant has completely changed but we really appreciated the professionalism and kindness of MAYDELIS. There is a new bar and deck at the main pool. It is beautiful and they have the best bar tenders; MELANY and JAVIER. That’s where you can get the best mojitos in the hotel! In the evening, you can enjoy the live entertainment on the terrasse, and there are so many choices to just sit and relaxed either around a table with friends and a drink or on the new deck with sofas and comfortable chairs. Thank you Melia Las Americas’ staff and friends for this fabulous vacation! We hope to be back soon!

Raùl and Ilenia at the lobby bar are the best, very friendly and professional, excellent service. Waiters and waitresses in the buffet are very attentive . Love this hotel, beach is beautiful and a hop to the golf course. We will be back for sure.

This is a 2 tar resorts actually. Old facilities everywhere. I paid for ocean view room, but it's not worth the money I paid at all. They call 2 twin bed combined as a king size bed, ridiculous. No body answer your phone if you need help by dialing 700. Only 2 bottle water provided daily...it's 2pm now and I am still waiting for the water. Same food poor quality every day. It is not Cuba any more... We need bottle water now....Beautiful beach but with poor resort management....

Beautiful resort, one that has us returning year after year. Staff are family, so many wonderful people to thank for their continued service and smiles… Cubans are struggling to survive and we do our best to help in any way we can. I always ask first timers if they would return and the answer is always absolutely. Thank you Melia Las Americas for making our time away the best time always. Hasta que nos volvamos a encontrar. ????
