a nice memorable stay

Our first visit to this hotel, but not our first visit to Varadero and we were so glad to be back. A nice hotel overall, but since it was our first time here thought it would be good to mention things in a bit more detail. We had few interactions with the front desk, only upon a very late arrival (midnight) and for check out which were both handled well. We had a couple of questions along the way which they did their best to answer (sometimes being able to answer and sometimes not) but they were pleasant about answering them. I will mention Alex (the bellhop) who is fantastic! He was so friendly and helpful, giving us as much information about the hotel. Our room was pretty good ocean view, but there were some areas that could use some improvement. First, the pillows could use an update--they had a very strong musty smell to them from the first moment we laid our heads on them, luckily I had Febreze fabric refresher which I used daily to help with the odour. The bathroom/toilet room could use a fan which would really help with heat and ventilation (it could get pretty hot) The doors to the rooms also needed an update, they didn't close properly and we would have to slam them shut in order to keep them closed otherwise they opened. It was fine during the day but at night, other rooms with the same issue would cause a loud sound when closing and that could disrupt sleep. We also noticed that there were some inconsistencies between the room items, some rooms had coffee makers while ours didn't. We had family/friends in two other rooms which mentioned that they had coffee makers. It would have been nice to have in our room since I am a big coffee/tea drinker and I brought my own but couldn't use it. Aside from that we had really good housekeepers throughout the week that kept the room clean and were always quick to help if we needed anything. Our view on the third floor facing the ocean was fantastic, quiet and so relaxing to sit out on the balcony. The hotel was pretty well maintained, both pools very clean and big with lots of loungers. Beach always clean, lots of loungers and walkways clear (if you're a runner they're great for it) The gym did have two treadmills unfortunately they were out of service. Other equipment (cardio/weights) was available which is really good, plus a very large stretching room. One area that could have used extra attention were the washrooms by the 24 hour snack bar, often required toilet paper in the ladies WC and there often was urine smell around both women and men's room. All the other washrooms were good though. Beach towels were always available and we always found someone when we needed to change them. We loved all the vendors available by the snack bar, makes it really easy if you're looking for souvenirs. Also the ping pong and pool table by the snack bar were a wonderful fun surprise. Entertainment at the hotel was excellent especially the Cuban celebration day. The entertainment staff does such a good job every night with all the shows, very creative and talented. We were a bit disappointed to find that there was no disco on-site, but they did have a DJ that played music in the snack bar till about midnight, but you couldn't hear in the rooms which is good. One of the best DJs they have is Harlent who is also part of the animation team, he plays all kinds of music and even recommended a great club next door to the hotel. If you get the chance to check out his aqua aerobics by the main pool, it's lots of fun and he runs it well. The food was good at the buffet, a little repetitive at times, but they did try hard with what they had and we always found something to eat. We were quite happy to find lots of vegetable/fruit options and Olia (hope I got the name right) from the buffet is truly a fantastic server, had to mention her. We really liked the a-la carte restaurants, the food was great and the staff were really pleasant. The Ranchon by the beach was good for a quick bite, we really enjoyed the open air dining. We found all of the bars good, almost all serve beer and all serve rum, but it's hit or miss for anything else including mix (we drank mostly lemonade with rums or daiquiris, which were actually pretty good) We really enjoyed The Cohiba Bar a really good spot for a morning coffee or an after dinner drink (Quick tip: if you're spending time out at night be sure to spray with bug spray before it helps) The staff were great all around especially the ladies at The Cohiba Bar and the Snack Bar by the main pool, very quick to help and so friendly. Overall, we had a mixed group of adults and children and everyone enjoyed their stay at Sirenis Tropical Varadero and would return.
Thank you all for this lovely vacation

The hotel is simply a tropical paradise. From the moment you walk in, you are surrounded by a sense of comfort. The rooms are spacious and offer breathtaking views of the crystal blue ocean. Attention to detail is evident in every corner, from the elegant decor to the impeccable cleanliness. But what really makes this hotel stand out is the staff; always friendly and helpful, ensuring that every moment of your stay is perfect. The food is another marvel, with a variety of dining options that will satisfy even the most discerning palate. And let's not forget the leisure facilities: sparkling pools, a rejuvenating spa and fun activities for all ages.
Cultural Paradise.

My experience was further enriched by the celebration of Cuban Day every Saturday. This weekly event was a true immersion into the local culture, with an explosion of colors, flavors and sounds that captured my heart. From morning to night, the hotel was transformed into a scene of pure festivity. Authentic Cuban flavors dominated the buffet, with typical dishes that delighted the palate. The swimming pool became a center for themed activities, where water games and competitions were led by entertainers dressed in traditional Cuban costumes. But the highlight was at night, when the rhythms of salsa and Cuban son invited everyone to dance under the stars. Every Saturday was a celebration of the life and joy that defines Cuba. We are a family of 4 and we had a great time, especially our children.

What an experience I had in Varadero! The buffet was amazing, with a selection that made you feel as if you were on a gastronomic tour all over Cuba. The chefs were great, especially Anselmo, always with a smile and ready to tell you the secret of his sauces. The pool was the meeting place par excellence, where you could spend hours splashing around or just taking a nap in a Sunbed. Not to mention the Cuban day activities, it was like being in the middle of a party that never ends! I felt blessed by every moment there. Viva Cuba and its wonderful people.
Absolutely loved it ??

During our recent stay at the Sirenis Tropical hotel in Varadero, we were absolutely delighted with the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with a warmth and friendliness that made us feel at home. The room was spotless and spacious, perfect for our family. The children especially enjoyed the pools and the kids' club, where they found fun and safe activities. The food deserves a special mention: every dish we tried in the hotel's various restaurants was delicious and well presented. The variety of choices satisfied everyone, from the little ones to the adults. In addition, the hotel's location is ideal, right on the beach, which allowed us to enjoy beautiful sunsets and relaxing walks on the sand. We are very grateful for the attention to detail and effort of the staff to make sure our visit was memorable. We would definitely recommend the Sirenis Tropical to other Canadian families looking for the perfect tropical getaway. We are already planning our next trip back!
