Brought the Disney magic

Lauren1085 (Liverpool, United Kingdom) on Jun 13, 2025

Spent 11 nights here with my husband and 4 year old son. Check in on my phone was so easy by the time we landed had hotel number and key access on phone via my Disney app. Block 7 which is the furthest but you are talking 5 minutes to the buses, that’s not far but of course you can request closer but the room was silent which was great after long day at parks Room was much bigger than I expected. Lots of storage and the My Disney interactive console was great, my boy loved the stores and great if needed anything, for instance hairdryer wasn’t working so requested a new one on there and arrived straight away! My only comment was how small the bathroom towels are, we aren’t large and they were a struggle to wrap around! Staff were fantastic always an hello and smile! Matilda (think that was her name, so helpful on first day when we needed advice on Disney dining). Characters would arrive every few days which my little boy loved and just adds to Disney magic! Restaurant food was good. Lots of variety and after long day at the parks a piece of pizza was needed! Large portions too (they love their potato barrels) there’s a great kids section too with Disney tv on and drawings which my boy loved. The beignets were AMAZING!!!! Random but Sundays where super super busy, might be holiday change over so we did avoid 6-8pm! Facilities such as shop and arcade were great to have. Pool was lovely, the photos online don’t do it justice! Laundry room became my husbands escape place lol Transport services were quick and easy. Buses plentiful and always got a seat. Loved the boat to Disney springs, just a nice extra touch. There where improvements being made to the pavement (walkways) when we where there but minimal disruption and zero noise. French Quarter you have my heart. 100% will be coming back when we return in a few years! Thank you for a magical trip!

Our go to resort.

parrottdize (Dyer, Indiana) on Jun 13, 2025

While we have stayed here a number of times, it has been awhile since we have been here (last couple of times we visited this resort was closed). Check-in was a breeze and we were able to access our room early. The room was clean and well maintain. Actually most of the rooms have been upgraded and they were working on the last building while we were there. Transportation: There is a boat that will take you to Disney Springs. To get to one of the parks, you will need to take one of the buses. A nice thing, that was new (for me) is in the bus area there is a sign that gives you the time when the next bus (for what ever park you are going to) is set to arrive. A 2 thumbs up for whoever thought up that idea. For us, staying at this resort is like coming home.

Good location, Fun pool!

darrenh707 (Leeds, United Kingdom) on Jun 05, 2025

We stayed here for 2 weeks and had a great time. Most days your in the parks but we did have some pool days to rest. Pool is a good size and has a nice slide for the kids. Also there is a splash park next to the pool with some small slides. The rooms are nice with a decent size bathroom and large tv that you can log into your disney+ account etc. The resort is quite small with only one main food hall but we liked this as we didn't want to be walking miles from our room to all the facilities like some of the other larger resorts. We did go up to Riverside as you can also use their pool but we preferred the pool at French Quarter. The buses are every 10 mins to all the parks and go direct which is good so they don't carry on to Riverside which means the buses were always fairly empty. You can also get a boat to disney springs which took about the same time as the bus so was super handy although the boats don't run when there's a storm so if your wanting to get the boat back from disney springs and its raining you'll have to get the bus back. Last boat back is 11:30. The food hall is ok. We had breakfast most mornings but it did get repetitive. Pancakes, waffles, with hash browns, bacon, sausage and scrambled egg. Lunch or dinner was good with salmon, half a chicken, beef stew with mash and vegetables etc. I did get a slice of pizza one day and it was pretty bad. Was not fresh! If the food was a bit better and had more choice then I would give 5 stars. We would definitely come back though.

May 2025 visit

Eileen C on Jun 04, 2025

Pros:The hotel is beautifully themed, great pool, restaurant, lobby and store. With only one bus stop transportation was great and we had no problems. Cons: We had connecting rooms and with a 2 1/2 year-old there was no way to keep the doors open and we were constantly worrying about him getting his fingers pinched. The bathroom area lighting was not bright enough. I also had a problem with the shower area. I am 82 years old and the floor was slippery with nothing to hold onto once you’re in the shower. I did not feel safe at all. It was a great vacation and I definitely would go to French Quarter again!

Something for everyone

Durhancoins (Durham, United Kingdom) on May 21, 2025

If you are looking for the fully immersive Disney experience then look no further. Port Orleans has it all. Great food, entertainment, transport links and amenities. It ticks all the boxes. As yearly Disney visitors we’ve stayed at a number of resorts on property and this remains a firm favourite. For the price you can’t go wrong!
