I was blown away by this property and the staff. We were made to feel welcome, of course, but it had more the feel of a B&B with a few rooms than a 1000+ room resort. A special shout out to Jeremy, a wonderful greeter. This is a very convenient location, great transportation, and everything one expects from a Disney property - but even more.
Lovely Disney Property

I was just hanging out while my husband was at one of the Disney conference centers for a three day business meeting. Our room was pretty with much nicer furniture than one normally sees in a hotel setting. Everything was clean and our room was surprisingly quiet at all times, in spite of the resort being full during our stay. The pool at the Port Orleans - French Quarter is not so much a pool as it is a large aquatic play area for kids; however, there is a quiet “adult pool” a short 15 minute walk at the adjacent Port Orleans - Riverside Disney resort. I spent most of my time there, and that pool was spacious and barely used during the day, when most guests were at the Disney parks.

We arrived here today and were very pleased by the nice atmosphere. However we just got back from the park, extremely exhausted and ready for bed. When we pulled the bedding back the sheets were filthy. Boogers, body hair and all. Our poor girl is so exhausted and just wants to sleep but we have to wait for the beds to be changed. Sad and disappointed. Not a magical day.

This hotel is fantastic if you are a family who like to have a bit of peace after a day at Disney. The hotel is well spread out, with lots of green space, and the hotel is only two storey's high. There is a sense of calmness about the resort and walking to and from your room you hardly see a soul. All rooms are sound proofed, we didn't hear any outside noise. Spacious rooms, air conditioning or ceiling fan - whichever you prefer. The staff are exceptionally helpful. The buses to and from Disney run from right outside the reception area. The transport to Disney Springs is a pleasant boat trip or a quick bus ride. Wander down to the sister hotel 'Riverside' for an easy meal. Great pool, attentive life guards. Brilliant!
Will be back!

First time staying at this resort (have stayed at many other Disney properties) and I’m pretty sure this is my favorite property, now. It’s small and quaint.
Food service options are great; make sure you get some beignets at least once! The Coke freestyle machine in the food court is great ( get the refillable mug for $20) , especially you like specialty sodas like Diet Caffeine Free Cherry Coke, Sprite Zero lymonade, or Aha, Powerade, etc…There are lots of tables for indoor or outdoor seating at the food court.
The rooms are nice, clean, and very comfortable. We had 2 queen beds in our room. There’s a mini coffee maker and a mini fridge, too.
There is only one bus service location; it was less than 5 minutes walk from our building. And bus service was very quick; there’s a screen that shows the estimated arrival of the next bus so you know how long you may need to wait (*you can also find this information on the Disney Parks app under “my resort”).
The gift shop on property has a nice selection of Disney gifts, as well as some medicines (Tylenol, Benedryl, etc..) and groceries (bread, milk, donuts, soda, ice cream, etc…).
We chose to have housekeeping come every other day (empty garbage, replenish tp, tissue, towels) ; they usually service rooms late afternoon, but, can drop off towels if needed sooner.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool and water slide are great; there’s also a nice kiddie pool adjacent with water features, too.
We will definitely be back to this resort.
