Needs A LOT of Work!

AlleineDragonfyre (Seattle, Washington) on Nov 24, 2022

Pros: 1) The staff was exceptionally nice. One Bellhop, Jack from Dublin, was especially accommodating. 2) The room was clean. 3) Check-in was fast 4) Hotel is near everything 5) You accepted our dog and charged us nothing (she's a good, clean doggie) 6) Nice view of the pool. 7) Bed was comfortable and bedding crisp, cool and clean. 8) Kitchen was very nice and well appointed Cons: 1) When we were in our room for about 1/2 hour, another guest staying at your hotel was given the same room as us, and they WALKED INTO OUR ROOM while we were changing to go to the pool!!! Luckily my husband was not naked and stopped them quickly. The front desk profusely apologized, but we were still a bit uncomfortable. We made good use of the safe, needless to say. 2) Carpet in the room was torn and matted on the corners from wear. The front desk said they were getting new carpeting, but that amount of wear didn't just appear overnight. 3) It was very hot in the room, probably from all the snowbirds running their heat and fireplaces around us on high so some better ventilation would be great. Opening windows because it's hot in 5-degree weather wastes energy. 2) There was no bidet in the bathroom. Some bidets can be added to existing toilets, which are cheap to install. I missed mine & did not feel clean unless I took another shower. This issue stayed with me all day, even out of the hotel! 3) This is incredibly embarrassing, but to add injury to the insult, your toilet paper is like sandpaper. I don't know what happened to Scott Tissue, but this stuff made me BLEED :*( This made the rest of my trip uncomfortable, especially since I couldn't wash that area unless I got back in the shower. This toilet paper must have been chosen by someone trying to save money that never will use the paper. 4) Our room was a "mountain view," but we couldn't see much unless we craned our necks to see around the hotel. 5) We asked the front desk where there were places to exchange money, and they did not know! 6) We had to call multiple times for access to the WiFi. This might have been connected to another guest receiving the same room we did while still in the room! 7) Even though you have a few restaurants, the lack of Room Service was noticeable. Even though the place is full of kitchens, you still have restaurants to serve guests. Overall we had a nice stay. However, it was not quite worth the price for the stay. I will post this review in my normal places, such as Yelp & Google, so you know. Thank you.

Customer Service

littlet74 (Vancouver, Canada) on Oct 11, 2022

Good hotel and excellent location. Shout out to Debora as she provided excellent service some of the best we have experienced in a long time. The downside was the music from Garfunkel at night. Our room was right above and it was difficult to sleep.

Whistler Holiday visit- disappointed ??

claire a (Portsmouth, United Kingdom) on Sep 20, 2022

The hotel is OK. Nothing flashy about it at all. Our room was very small . We only had 2 cases and there wasn't anywhere to unpack and store them . The room looked tired and in need of a coat of paint. Pros- it was a quiet room . Couldn't hear the outside noise at all and bed was comfy. Had a very small kitchen area with fridge , microwave and 2 bowls plates etc. Cons - no housekeeping unless you asked for it . We only stayed 2 nights so not a major problem for us but any longer it could be. Not enough flannels in the bathroom either. Parking was expensive at $32 a night.

Perfectly located hotel

Mark D on Sep 13, 2022

Nice hotel in a great location. I found Whistler a bit weird in that it is very disney-like and the hotel fits in with this ..but if you like that sort of thing, then you will like the hotel. Brilliant facilities. Only bugbear is paying for parking. A common Canadian hotel add on apparently...?

Great location

Ricki_PaloAlto (Menlo Park, California) on Sep 09, 2022

Good location. Comfortable bed. We liked having the two rooms although we didn’t spend much time in the room. The location is great for access to the summer gondolas (the ones working in the sUmmer) and for restaurants, etc. This isn’t a luxurious hotel, but great for a resort like this. Too Bad the fireplace doesn’t function in the summer. And the rooms are an odd shape, as is the bathroom. But it worked.
