New YYC domestic check-in
Following a brief intermission, WestJet is proud to announce that our domestic check-in counter at Calgary International Airport will move back to its permanent location, with a newly updated look and feel.
This redesigned, check-in area is large and spacious, and lives up to WestJet’s commitment to Safety Above All with enhanced protection for guests with 37 brand-new touchless enabled self-serve kiosks.
The new YYC domestic check-in is located close to Parkade 1 – Level 4, at the north end of YYC airport and comes equipped with:
· 14 full-service counters
· 14 self-bag drops featuring the latest technology
· 37 self-serve kiosks
· Special service and repack alcoves
· Temporary dedicated Priority Zones
Checking baggage has never been more efficient, with 14 new self-bag drops allowing guests to quickly check their bag, pay for extra baggage if needed and print their bag tag with an easy-to-use touch screen. Once guests’ part with their baggage for the duration of their journey, it will travel on YYC’s new, state-of-the-art, 18 km baggage system that connects bags seamlessly and is 70 per cent more energy efficient than its predecessor.
The final location for Priority check-in will not be complete until Spring 2021. In the meantime, Priority Services will be temporarily located within WestJet’s domestic YYC check-in zones being opened in this phase.
