WestJet announced that Kathy McCrum is joining WestJet as Vice-President, People and Employee Relations. Reporting to Mark Porter, Executive Vice-President, People and Culture, Kathy will lead a high caliber team across People Relations, Talent Management, Labour Relations, Diversity and Inclusion, and Organizational Development. 

“It is a privilege to welcome Kathy to WestJet’s high-functioning people team,” said Mark Porter. “Kathy brings with her significant human resources and leadership experience along with high energy, a love for collaboration and a strong desire to drive change and results.”

Kathy is joining WestJet after three years of serving as Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice-President, Safety, at SaskPower. Prior to her time at SaskPower, Kathy gained extensive human resources experience working for twelve years at Canadian Pacific Railway and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration, specializing in Human Resources and Finance, from the University of Regina in 2001.

As Vice-President, People and Employee Relations, Kathy will work closely with peers across the organization to drive innovative change and play an instrumental role in supporting the ongoing recovery and growth of the organization.
