WestJet announces Natalie Farand as Vice-President, Digital

Natalie Farand, who has been working as Interim Vice-President, Digital since October 31, 2020, is now permanent in the role, reporting directly to John Weatherill, Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer.

Natalie Farand, who has been working as Interim Vice-President, Digital since October 31, 2020, is now permanent in the role, reporting directly to John Weatherill, Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer.

“Natalie joined WestJet in 2014 and is a respected leader with strong product knowledge and a commitment to data-driven decisions,” said John Weatherill. “Natalie has always been passionate about developing her team, aligning people’s passions with evolving business needs and her leadership has been instrumental in moving towards our recovery.”

Over the last seven years, Natalie has led many digital functions from eCommerce, User Experience, Digital Marketing and Analytics. In 2016, Natalie introduced the User Experience discipline within WestJet, putting focus on the voice of the guest. In her most recent role as Director of Channel and Product Management, she was responsible for the Digital Channel and Product strategic roadmaps and operations at WestJet, including the website, mobile app, chatbot, inflight entertainment system and eCommerce platforms.

As Vice-President, Digital, Natalie will continue to focus on leading a high-performing team, responsible for building best-in-class digital experiences for WestJet’s guests.

Prior to joining WestJet, Natalie worked on marketing and digital strategy for well-known companies such as Procter & Gamble, Danone and Heinz, with experience across design, product development, content automation and acquisition disciplines.
