WestJet Rewards is extending tier status for current Platinum, Gold and Silver members through to December 31, 2022.

“We understand that our members may have not been able to get the most out of their WestJet Rewards status over the past 15 months and we want to make sure they have time to use their hard-earned benefits,” said d’Arcy Monaghan, WestJet Vice-President, Loyalty Programs. “We previously extended tier status to the end of 2021 and are pleased to extend it further to provide greater peace of mind to our valued members. As more of our Platinum, Gold and Silver members return to travelling we are also giving them a way to earn qualifying spend faster to earn even more benefits in the months ahead.”

Exclusive to Platinum, Gold and Silver members, from June 4, 2021, until December 31, 2021, they can earn up to double the qualifying spend on flights flown to reach the next tier or milestone award. Additionally, members who hold Platinum status as of June 4, 2021 and accrue an additional qualifying spend of $6,500 (that’s with the bonus applied) between now and the end of the year can earn two Business cabin companion vouchers—one valid for travel within Canada and the other valid for travel between Canada and Europe—for use in 2022.
