Four-year WestJetter, Alexandra Nicoll, Cabin Crew Member (CCM), WestJet Encore, is one of 16, President’s Award winners from 2021. Known amongst her leaders and peers as a consistent source of positivity and optimism, Alexandra leads by example, caring deeply for the integrity of WestJet’s operations and brand.  

Throughout the pandemic, Alexandra showed up consistently for her peers and each guest she interacted with, never hesitating to extend or pick up an additional shift to ensure a flight could leave on time. Despite a heavy workload, in addition to her role as CCM, Alexandra is also a member of WestJet Encore’s Quality Check Flight Attendant team which assists students transitioning from initial training, to becoming a Cabin Crew Member on WestJet Encore’s front line.

We sat down with Alexandra to ask her a few questions about WestJet and what being a President’s Award winner means to her:

What’s your favorite WestJet destination? 

Nassau, Bahamas

Best travel tip? 

Allow yourself at least two hours between flights when connecting onto another aircraft.  

What’s your favourite WestJet memory? 

Graduating ground school and becoming a certified flight attendant.

What does winning a WestJet Group Award mean to you? 

Sincere recognition of the hard work we all put in for keeping the airline operating during the pandemic.
