More options for guests to escape the winter cold with additional flights now available to Phoenix, Los Angeles and Las Vegas

WestJet is setting its sights on the sun from Calgary this winter, announcing today that it will increase weekly flights from YYC Calgary International Airport to Phoenix (PHX), Los Angeles (LAX) and Las Vegas (LAS) beginning in 2023.

“With the colder months upon us, we are pleased to be responding the high demand for popular transborder sun destinations with the addition of more service to Phoenix, Las Vegas and Los Angeles,” said John Weatherill, WestJet Group Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer. “As part of our commitment to increasing our capacity from Calgary by 25 per cent in 2023, we are strategically and responsibly adding new routes and more flights to the destinations our guests want to travel to most.”

Details of WestJet’s increased frequencies to the U.S.

  • Calgary – Phoenix, from 18 to 21 times weekly, with additional service added Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, effective February 9, 2023
  • Calgary – Los Angeles, from 14 to 16 times weekly, with additional service added Thursdays and Saturdays, effective February 14, 2023
  • Calgary – Las Vegas, from 18 to 19 times weekly, with additional service added on Wednesdays, effective February 22, 2023
