The WestJet Group continues to strengthen Winnipeg’s connectivity with the return of year-round daily service to Montréal

The WestJet Group is celebrating the return of nonstop service from Winnipeg to Montréal following the departure of WS326 earlier this morning. 

“Building Winnipeg’s network of air connectivity is a critical component of our ambitious western growth strategy and we are proud to offer a growing network of service to our loyal guests,” said John Weatherill, WestJet Group Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer. “As Winnipeg’s market leader, we understand how critical these connections are for this community and we are thrilled to offer service from Winnipeg to 15 nonstop destinations across North America this summer.”

From Winnipeg this summer, WestJet is growing its overall seat capacity by 18 per cent, with 185 weekly departures.  This includes a 15 per cent growth in domestic seat capacity including the airline’s recent announcement of year-round service to Ottawa and Montréal.

This summer WestJet will also fly to Atlanta (5x weekly), Los Angeles (3x weekly) and Las Vegas (2x weekly) from Winnipeg.
