WestJet is proud to announce several significant operational milestones achieved throughout the August long weekend, while also marking a record number of passengers carried across the airline’s global network. Between Friday, August 1 and Monday, August 4, WestJet successfully carried a total of 314, 536 guests, reporting a strong completion factor of 98.7 per cent and an A15 on-time performance of 69.2 per cent. “Once again, I want to express my gratitude to all the teams across our business who contributed to the weekend’s operational success,” said Diederik Pen, President of WestJet Airlines and Group Chief Operating Officer. “As we look forward to the second half of the summer, I want to commend our frontline WestJetters for their dedication to guest experience, while simultaneously delivering a safe, stable and reliable travel experience.” As the first half of the peak-summer travel period comes to a close, the airline is reaffirming its focus on operational resilience and guest experience. Since July 1, WestJet has carried more than 2.2 million guests, maintaining an overall A15 on-time performance of 71.3 per cent across all flights with a completion factor of 98.2 per cent.
