Platinum members, we’re giving you more flexibility.

Your feedback tells us you love companion vouchers, but sometimes they can be too much of a good thing. Now you have a choice.

Effective June 11, 2019 and until further notice, with any new milestone award earned at $10,000 in qualifying spend or higher, you can choose to keep the WestJet-wide companion voucher awarded or call the Platinum priority support number to exchange it for:

Four (4) guest lounge vouchers

For colleagues and/or companions to join you in the lounge

or

Six (6) guest seat selection vouchers

So others travelling with you can enjoy complimentary advance seat selection too

Terms and conditions

  • Exchanges will only be facilitated through the Platinum priority support number, and only between regular operating hours of 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. MT.
  • You may choose to receive either four (4) guest lounge vouchers or six (6) advance seat selection vouchers; no other combination of vouchers is permitted.
  • Guest lounge or seat selection vouchers issued under this offer will maintain the same expiry date as the original companion voucher.
  • Seat selection vouchers must be redeemed through the Platinum priority support number; please refer to the “Using guest seat selection vouchers” section below for more information.
  • Companion vouchers exchanged through this offer will be cancelled and no longer visible in your account.
  • All exchanges for guest lounge or seat selection vouchers are considered final; you will not be permitted to revert your milestone award back to a companion voucher at a future date.
  • Offer is subject to change without notice.

If you hold Platinum status and have exceeded $10,000 in qualifying spend anytime between the launch of Platinum on December 12, 2018 and June 10, 2019, you are invited to exchange unused WestJet-wide companion vouchers awarded for achieving milestones of $10,000 or higher during the same period for:

Four (4) guest lounge vouchers

For colleagues and/or companions to join you in the lounge

or

Six (6) guest seat selection vouchers

So others travelling with you can enjoy complimentary advance seat selection too

Terms and conditions

  • To be eligible for this offer you must:
    • Have current Platinum status; and
    • Have achieved a minimum of $10,000 qualifying spend in your individual qualifying year anytime between the launch of Platinum on December 12, 2018 and June 10, 2019. The achievement of $10,000 qualifying spend may be within either of: 1) your current qualifying year, or 2) your previous qualifying year if you have started a new year since January 1.
  • If eligible, you will be permitted to exchange any or all unused WestJet-wide companion voucher(s) issued for achieving a $10,000 or higher milestone award between December 12, 2018 and June 10, 2019. There is no limit on the number of vouchers that can be exchanged.
  • Exchanges will only be facilitated through the Platinum priority support number, and only between regular operating hours of 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. MT.
  • You may choose to receive either four (4) guest lounge vouchers or six (6) advance seat selection vouchers for each companion voucher exchanged; no other combination of vouchers is permitted.
  • Guest lounge or seat selection vouchers issued under this offer will maintain the same expiry date as the original voucher.

Guest lounge vouchers may be used for guests (e.g. colleagues, friends, extended family members) who do not normally have access to the lounge through your immediate family privileges.

NEW! Your guests are no longer required to be travelling on the same flight as you; they only need to be travelling on a same-day WestJet flight and entering the lounge with you.

  • A valid boarding pass displaying a WestJet flight number for a departing flight must be presented at time of entry.
  • Guest lounge vouchers may be used for additional guests/companions when travelling with member; guest vouchers are non-transferable.
  • Guest vouchers are in addition to unlimited lounge access with family privileges awarded to Platinum members.
  • Travelling together is defined as taking a WestJet flight on the same day from the same airport—though not necessarily the same flight as the member—and entering the lounge with the member.
  • Valid at participating airport lounges only. Visit westjet.com/lounges for a current list of lounges.
  • Valid when travelling on WestJet-marketed flights only (identified by a WS carrier code preceding the flight number); not valid when travelling on partner-marketed itineraries.
  • Guest vouchers and expiry dates are available when you sign into your account at westjet.com.
  • Voucher must be redeemed prior to the expiry date.
  • Voucher may only be used as described and has no monetary or other exchange value.
  • Terms and conditions of each voucher are subject to the Program Terms and Conditions at the time of redemption.

Guest seat selection vouchers must be redeemed through the Platinum priority support number. As a Platinum member, you may select your own seat online, however, you’ll need to call us to have seat selection added for other guests on your booking.

  • Guest seat selection vouchers may only be used for additional guests/companions travelling with you on the same reservation; vouchers are not transferable.
  • Valid for advance seat selection (i.e. prior to check-in) on any seat within the Basic, Econo or EconoFlex fare options where a seat selection fee applies; not valid to upgrade to a seat in Premium or Business, nor to select or change a seat during check-in when travelling on a Basic fare.
  • Valid when travelling on WestJet-marketed and operated flights only (including WestJet Encore and WestJet Link by Pacific Coastal); not valid when travelling with WestJet's code-share or interline partners.
  • Changes or cancellations to guest seat selection must be made through the Platinum priority support number.
  • Members and guests travelling on Basic fares may utilize this benefit at any time prior to check-in; a fee will apply to select or change a seat during check-in.
  • Benefit may only be used as described and has no monetary or other exchange value.
  • Terms and conditions of this benefit are subject to the Program Terms and Conditions at the time of redemption.
