Exactly what we expected and we all came home happy

BriE1976 (New York City, New York) on Apr 19, 2024

From the moment we arrived, we were all impressed with the beauty of the resort. The common areas are all kept beautifully and it seems there is always someone tending to something (like the pools, the vegetation, painting something worn, etc ) it was impressive to see the care with which they upkeep the resort. We traveled as family with two teens (13 and 15) and stayed in a family suite which is a connecting king room and a connecting double room. It was perfect for us. The minibar was refreshed each day with drinks. We did eat the snacks, but those were not replenished over the course of our stay. The rooms were nicely decorated and the beds were comfy. Housekeeping comes every day if you want. We used both the beach and the pool. The ocean was beautiful and there is a lot of care to keep things pristine. The pools are beautiful, but be warned: I know the PR person posts that people aren’t supposed to save chairs, but they do. And by 8am, you will not find a chair that hasn’t been saved. We did speak with a pool concierge about it and he told us to come back and see him in an hour and he’d find us a chair. One chair for the four of us. So, we just put our towels on some rocks and swam instead. We were there for six hours and no one ever came back to claim an entire row of at least 12 chairs. That was the case every single day. “Claimed” chairs that were never used. I know it’s the guests that are selfish, but I do think the resort needs to be proactive in clearing them. Send the message that saved chairs get cleared and people won’t do it. Seems easy enough. The food was okay. We tried a few different restaurants but all agreed that the buffet was the best out of all of them. Service was outstanding everywhere, but the quality of the food was just adequate. Nobody starved, but nobody raved. And that’s totally in line with my expectations for an all inclusive. I was TOTALLY impressed with the resort’s commitment to the environment. No single use plastics is wonderful. And also most likely why the beach isn’t littered with plastic bottle tops. All in all this was a very good family vacation. We all came home happy and would likely return.

Pickleball in Paradise!

Charles R on Apr 18, 2024

Went with a group of pickleball players for 5 days. Could not ask for a nicer facility or friendlier staff. Our concierge, Paola, gave us VIP treatment in every respect...making reservations, answering questions, and just going out of her way to make us feel welcome. We stayed in the Lindo section. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Food was plentiful and delicious, both at the buffet and the restaurants. The pools had plenty of lounge chairs and not crowded at all.

Checks off all the boxes

Steve B (Pointe Claire, Canada) on Apr 17, 2024

Iberostar checks off all the boxes. Excellent food Beautiful facilities. Safe environment Clean and modern rooms High quality Tequila!!! We are beach people. If you are: Always plenty of chairs. Bar and food on the beach is practical. Fitness classes on the beach (Yoga, Zumba, workout) were amazing. 2 volleyball courts which are very popular. Some seaweed but they clean each morning. Waves were quite strong when we were there so didn’t go too far in. We only used the pools occasionally but that’s where the entertainment team runs their activities. Looks like a good time but not for us. Also seems to be where the chair reservation problem is. Lots of empty chairs with towels on them. Big water park for kids. The lazy river was nice! This is a family resort so lots of kids. Actually full variety of guests (young, seniors, families etc. ) The gym is modern if you need that. The Plaza is a nice place to go to change things up. You can also visit the sister resorts (Del Mar/Beach) which has more nature and wildlife. Don’t second guess. Go have a great time!

Not impressed

roadtripper625 (Chicago, Illinois) on Apr 16, 2024

We have been to many all inclusives in Mexico and the Caribbean and this was a disappointment. Our teenagers were bored. There was not a place in the evenings for teenagers to go to have fun. If they were 18 years old, they could get into the club, but the club was lame. If they were under 18, there was absolutely nowhere for them to go. They simply wandered around the beach and resort. We had a mixed group of cousins some that were 18 and over & some that were not and both groups were bored. One night karaoke started and people were having fun. But after only four songs, the DJ shut it down, packed up his gear and left. Our room looked nothing like the pictures online. It was very dated There were areas that had water damage and electrical outlets didn’t work. We thought the buffet was good, but we were not impressed with the restaurants. If you wanted a chair by the pool, you need to be out there by 7 AM otherwise all the chairs were taken. The bartenders were friendly and efficient so at least we had drinks.
