Always a Pleasure!

With staying at Accra Beach over 15 times, I am never disappointed. The staff is always attentive and makes your stay an absolute pleasure. Everyone including the GM, the restaurant staff, the reservation team and all, always go above and beyond to make your stay a pleasure! I look forward to my next trip to Accra Beach.
Disappointing Accra Beach Hotel & Spa Barbados
Scotty020 (Glasgow) on Mar 14, 2024
My wife and I stayed at Accra Beach Hotel & Spa Barbados for 12 nights at the end of January 2024. BA Holidays had it listed as a 4* resort but I would suggest that it is more like a Spanish 3* type hotel. The rooms were clean but basic and quite often dirty glasses and plates would lie in the corridor for ages before being cleared away. The beach bar closes early in the evening but the lobby bar at reception stays open late. However, if you pay cash then the barman can’t deal with that and gas to run to the restaurant to process your payment. It was like faulty towers at times and my wife commented that if he wore her watch then she’d see a huge increase in her steps. Also, they only stoked a limited supply of international brands and charged a premium for them. There are two restaurants, one that served both à la carte and buffy style dining and the other was Asian which didn’t open very night. I loved the Asian but unless you are on an eating plan it can be very expensive. The other restaurant was quite good initially but the menu never changed in the time we were there for both lunch and dinner. We had never visited Barbados before therefore chose a full board package. This was a huge mistake as there are lots of restaurants nearby. It probably has the best beach I’ve ever been on with pure white sand and turquoise waters. Unfortunately, the sunbeds are really old and extremely uncomfortable. A limited number of new neds arrived but I soon discovered that you had to be at the beach around 7 AM or earlier to get one. Some days passengers from cruise ships stayed at the hotel for the day. This was a nightmare where you could hardly move on the beach and trying get served at the bar was like trying to get blood out of a stone. If you venture out at night then there’s a boardwalk near the hotel with restaurants and bars with entertainment, which were very good and less expensive than the hotel. The paving out on the street is limited with hardly any street lighting. Reggy minibuses constantly run up and down and are very cheap. I found the Barbadians to be extremely welcoming and friendly and never felt unsafe while out at night. I read some reviews about the hotel that gave me cause to be concerned but I have to say that while it wasn’t the best hotel I’ve stayed at, it was nevertheless adequate. I wouldn’t recommend it to any of my fiends but that’s just my opinion.
Great Experience

This is our second visit to the Accra Beach and it was as good as the first, the staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful, from arriving to leaving our experience at the Accra Beach Hotel was fabulous. Brand new sun beds had arrived whilst we were there but to get one you have to be on the beach by 7am. There was alot of maintenance and improvements going on which was good to see, my only gripe would be loud teenagers being aloud in the pool late at night
Always a pleasure! Perfect hotel, location and staff!

This is our third trip to Accra in three years and we love it! The location is perfect, the biggest/best pool we have seen on the island and right on the beautiful Rockley beach! The food is fabulous too if you choose to eat here which we did often with our children for lunch and dinner but with plenty to offer around the hotel too. For us it’s home from home! Manager Suresh always makes us feel welcome, staff in all hotel are amazing, to name a few Micheal on the front desk -top man, Sean on the pool bar and all the bar staff on the beach bar at happy hour! We love you all we’ll be back very soon! ???? Make sure to visit the shacks next door as well chicken George is the one!
Hotel 46 Years Old, Tired, Needs Repairs
Carol M on Mar 10, 2024
Very disappointed in the Accra Beach Hotel. It is in a good location but needs major maintenance & improvements. My room was clean & acceptable but the pool was not maintained & cleaned. The public beach was cleaner than the hotel beach where visitors had to wade through piles of seaweed between lounges. Hydro went out three times, TV & Internet was out for 2 days, even during the Super Bowl. Water was shut off twice for internal leaks, repairs and no access to the gym or spa. No compensation was offered & additional fees were mandatory for this experience. I have letters from the hotel & photos to confirm this experience. Would never recommend this hotel.
