Relaxing and enjoying the stay

The unit is well appointed with wonderful views. Comfortable and spacious. We ate at the pool bar/restaurant. Great atmosphere with friendly people. Food was very good and the bartender knows how to make an excellent margarita. Grounds are well kept and beautiful. Staff is attentive, well groomed and eager to please.

This place is amazing. I can't say enough about the resort. It was our second time being there and we loved it just as much as the first time. Our first trip it was just my husband and I and this time some friends joined us. They were all equally impressed. The stafff was incredible. A huge shout out to Rochellee in conceige. She helped us with dinners, excursions and anything we needed. She was always willing to help and such a sweetheart. A true representation of Belizeans. Thank you for another great vacation. We can't wait to be back again.
Coco Beach Resort is excellent!

I've reviewed this resort several times and I always feel compelled to do it again after I visit. I find that many people find it easier to complain but sometimes fail to give credit where it is due. I have absolutely zero negative things to say about this resort. Making the reservations is a breeze here. They take care of all the hard work setting up the Maya flight from the mainland to San Pedro. I never wait very long at all for the shuttle to take me to the resort. The front desk staff always greet you with a smile while someone is taking your bags to your room. First timers get a little tour. The rooms here are excellent although my experience is only with the sea view/sea front rooms. But, from the pictures, I do not think there is a bad room in all of this resort. The staff in the restaurant and the pool bar are very helpful, entertaining and always make my visit more enjoyable. If you see Rose, try to push her in the pool for me. From Chris, the Property Manager, to the housekeeping staff, the people here are great and are the main reason I keep going back. I am not even going to try and name all the names because I will leave someone out, but they know who they are. There are lots of nice places on Ambergris, but the staff here make this place special. There are many activities that the resort staff can arrange for you and you can also rent a golf cart here which is very convenient. This place is close enough to town to be convenient but it is nice to leave that hustle and bustle and return to the resort. There are lots of very nice restaurants and various bars north of the bridge.
Great for families

Staff was amazing. Janelley and Jorge took great care of us. Grounds are clean. Kids played in the pool for hours each day. We preferred the resort pool over secret beach. Location is close to all activities, but far enough away to feel quiet, .
Tips for vacation on Ambergis Caye based at Coco Beach

Coco Beach is a fantastic resort on Ambergris Caye. For sure the best on the island. The service and drinks were great and kids loved the pool. Here are our tips for Ambergris: 1.) you need a golf cart. You drive all over the island on it and was one of our kids favorite parts. We brought a portable Bluetooth speaker and jammed out. We liked having it for the entire week so we could come and go as we pleased but you are able to rent it as needed. 2.) we did a boat excursion. I found a reasonable priced boat for a private rental. Feeding the tarpon, fishing, snorkeling + shark ray alley, then stopped in Caye calker to explore while they cooked the fish we caught. Definitely a highlight and they let us pick what we did. I believe there are seahorses somewhere on Caye caulker. I didn’t find out about this till after our tour. Attaching the boat tour info. The boat wasn’t a “luxury” boat but it was perfect and Khader was truly the best. Highly recommend it. 3.) it’s an “adventure” and ALL day but honestly worth it….we took the ferry (1.5 hours) to the mainland to see the ruins, cave tour and zip lining. You will have a tour guide pick you up in Belize city and take you to all of these. The ruins were incredible. You can fly which makes the day much shorter but was $$$$. Our guide was really nice but when we stopped for lunch he shared a lot about his life including some really dark moments/depression he was currently facing. It was a lot for our kids so I don’t know if I can recommend him. Look on trip advisor. But again we did a private tour and I recommend that. Also, we had him stop for lunch because we love to eat local. The food was incredible. If you go I’ll track down the name of the restaurant. 4.) restaurants - honestly they were all good. You need dinner reservations for the “popular nice spots”. We didn’t eat at the nice resort at the hotel but heard it was good. -truck stop: fun food trucks with bands - Palapa Bar & Grill was our favorite spot to hangout during the day. The fried pickles are SO good. Plus every have tasty beverages and our kids loved swimming in the water here. Bring your snorkel mask. -Caramba was good fresh seafood -crocs was a fun easy last dinner. Pub food -street vendor food was cheap and tasty! They sell out so you can order it in advance. -tres cocos has great breakfast. We didn’t go here till the end of our trip so we didn’t realize there is a “Starbucks” type spot behind it called Marbucks. Might be worth checking out -farmhouse was good for breakfast but took FOREVER -Elvis kitchen was a nice dinner and really tasty. -the garage was good. We didn’t have a reservation and they squeezed us in. -Aji Tapas - guess they have an Asian night that is really popular we missed it bc they were full but went another night. Good. Close to the hotel but not sure I would go back but you also can’t go wrong with it if that makes sense. -there is a sugar factory type of dessert spot we wanted to check out but never made it there. I think it’s called sugar rush -we wanted to try El fogon but it was closed our last night. Honestly so many restaurants and places to eat. I would check trip advisor as well. The rice and beans are delicious. It’s a lot of fried fish/foods and not a lot veggies and fruits. —also we brought uno cards to play while we waited for food. You are on Caribbean time. 5.) secret beach was fine. In my opinion over rated but you have to go check it out. We had lunch at Blue Bayou. You sit at tables in the water. 6.) iguana sanctuary was torn down when we were there. Might be fun still to check it out. If you’re driving by. It’s a literally a five minute thing. The hotel can plan your excursions but we also book our own. So I don’t know anything about theirs. We did let them arrange our transportation to and from the airport. And with this all being said we met another family who never left coco beach and had an amazing time too.
