I can not rate this place highly enough. I actually find myself wanting to keep this place a secret. Unlike other all inclusive hotels this is more like a boutique hotel. It has such a nice feel. 5 great restaurants, loads of swimming for all ages. All the staff are so friendly and helpful! Awesome kids club for all ages. Our daughter is 5. She loved it. It is definitley worth the extra dollars verus some of the other near by hotels.

One of my favorite people is one of the teen club people! His name is Manuel and he’s super fun and know how to work with a bunch of kids since there were like 20+ kids from my family and friends! Also the food at the buffet is pretty good and the french toast is exquisite!

The room I stayed in was a junior suite swim out. The room was modern and luxurious. I loved everything about it, I just wish the pool for our swim-out wasn’t so cold. I only swam in it once the 4 days I was there (because of the water being like ice). If I would have known it would be cold, then I would have gotten an ocean view balcony instead. The ocean was soooo much warmer than the pool, which is weird to understand hmm. The beach waiter Manuel Manzanero needs recognition. He went above and beyond to make my stay great. He’s the reason why I’m giving this place any stars at all! I wanted to sit at whatever section he was working at. I want to stay at this hotel again only if Manuel is working there! He’s such a great person and very attentive. The man goes more than above and beyond. Thank you Manuel, you made my experience at this hotel great!!

So here’s our lengthy review of Atelier/Estudio! This is our second time at Estudio, and it became very fast our favourite place to stay in Cancun (Playa Mujeres). This time we spent 20 days here, after being 10 days at Finest. Although our stay at finest was “fine”… we were so glad to be back. It felt like jumping from 4 stars to 5 stars. What is real important here, is that if you go to Estudio with the kids, you need to make sure you have access to Atelier, which is the adults side. KIDS CLUB: Exceptional. We have became quite attached to the staff at the Kids Club, because it was our second time and my son loves them so much. They are just great, and so loving. They are real educators with a Montessori approach, and you can tell that the kids are happy with them. We are so grateful as it allowed us to work in the day, and my kid was actually begging to go back at night. Thank you, we appreciate you very very much. FOOD: now, we LOVE food and for us, it’s a very important part of our vacation. We have great restaurants in Montreal, and we are pretty picky. The food at Atelier is simply exceptional. You don’t feel in an all-inclusive. The steakhouse (los abrazos) is as good, if not better as some of the best steakhouses I have ever eaten at. The Italian restaurant (cilento) is exquisite at lunch and has an amazing view, the curry at the Asian restaurant (takeshi)… just outstanding. Also a good coffee shop, nice little place to have granola and fresh fruits in the morning, good lunch by the pool (el Trumpo), special bar with a mixologist that does outstanding drinks… seriously, after 20 days, we were still trying to enjoy it as much as we can. The food at Atelier is just mind blowing. Now, the downside is that the restaurants at Estudio are really not up to par with Atelier. Kopai (Asian) is actually very good, but in general, you really feel the difference in quality when you start to compare (for example Azul vs Trumpo). Especially the Italian restaurant that is sadly very average. Also the vibe at the buffet is a bit strange... less welcoming. Again, the buffet at Atelier is much more enjoyable. Just make sure you can eat and spend time on the other side as often as you can. When you manage to combine the Atelier/Estudio experience, it really really feels like a 5 stars hotel. It’s big, but doesn’t feel like it. The structure is classy yet modern, rooms are very beautiful and comfortable, exceptional beds and linen, the materials are not cheap, doors are made of heavy wood, with special attention on how it smells in different areas, people bringing you fine chocolate at night to your room… it just feels luxurious. We love it there. We were often saying we would love to spend our golden years there. Crowd is also a bit more sophisticated than other places. One thing I would pay attention to: the music. It would be great to have a pool area without generic dance music. Not everybody is into beats from morning to night. Silence would be welcomed. Also the music in the cafes is very redundant and depressive. All soft unplugged versions of popular songs on repeat… if you spend the day working there, it becomes painful. Don’t be afraid to switch it up and offer ‘real’ original music, classic latin beats, crooners, modern indie music.. just a bit more research. If you want to work remotely, it’s difficult to find areas outside the room that doesn’t have music. Maybe create a space with power, tables and silence would be a amazing. Some of the names I remember and want to say a special thank you: Everybody at the Kids Club Alfredo, front desk manager. Jahir, bundle of positive vibe and joy at the cafe! Angel at the Italian Restaurant. Deborah (Italian and buffet) Just people that make everything more enjoyable. The staff is just great, sorry if I don’t remember all the names. Thank you Atelier/Estudio, we have very found memories of ou r vacations with you! Martin, Marie and Emile

Upon arrival we were greeted by the valet front staff who were the beginning check point of temperature checks, provided hand sanitizer and provided solution to clean the soles of our shoes, they took our luggage for sanitation purposes. Then we went ahead to check in with the reception staff they provided us with bracelets for each of our rooms we booked the junior suite swim out-King and the junior suite swim out- 2 double. We we’re told download the Atelier app and found the concierge chat to be very helpful they go above and beyond to accommodate your every need. We arrived early to our check in and the staff was able to accommodate us to start our resort experience, we went to changed to our swim wear and we were provided with a tour by the staff given by Victor who accommodated our every need from requesting a special “paella dinner” for our family of 5 to driving us back and forth in the resort and reserving a place for us at the beach. The resort consist of many amenities such as pools with bars, different restaurants and beach area. The beach area has several lounge chairs with umbrellas and some are lounge beds, upon arrival to the beach you are welcomed with cold water bottle, towels, Austrian gold sunscreen and hand sanitizer. You can expect top of the line service, all the staff make the effort to provide above and beyond service to make you feel in a true bliss. I never once thought about going back home and once it was over I was really sad we had to leave but already thinking about booking my next stay again at Atelier. My four year old daughter was able to enjoy the free daycare, she never wanted to go back to our room because they had several ladies doing special activities with them to keep them entertained. In our stay we tried 3 different restaurants that were our favorites, la consentida was one of the breakfast buffets we attend every morning, I really enjoyed how they always had very authentic Mexican breakfast items on the menu such as sopes, huaraches, tamales, chilaquiles, hot mexican cocoa, variety of freshly made salsas, Coffee made from olla, authentic local fruits, variety of cheeses, freshly made juices, and authentic local bread that satisfied my bread indulgences. I feel like the variety satisfied the vegan and vegetarian pállate as well. Also wanted to thank the Manager of la consentida for being very attentive at the end of our stay my 4 year old was gifted a small hand made ornament piñata. Casa di luna serves Italian food I was mostly impressed with the soups they served it was delicious. Last but not least my all time favorite place El suspiro is a seafood restaurant near the beach, amazing service, food was delicious everything we tried on the menu was mouth watering my favorite dish was the octopus and the lychee drink those were the top two that I would request over and over but you could try anything in the menu and it was exquisite from fish tacos, coconut shrimp, variety of fish and the ceviche. This is the place where one of the concierge named victor along with the restaurant staff and the chef cooked a special paella for my family to say the least the paella from Mexico has been better than the ones we had in Spain. Children were also accommodated with their staple foods such as Mac and cheese, pizza, hot dog and fries, burgers and fries and my daughter favorite tortilla with cheese “quesadilla”. As a recap, I would like to advise you to do yourself a favor and book this all inclusive resort every single dollar or euro spend is well worth it, you will find it family friendly, well trained staff and above and beyond customer service.
