We loved the delicious food and the different restaurants available. It was absolutely terrific, super fresh and delightfully unique. The coffee shop was also damazing with a great variety of gourmet drinks and sweets. We also highly enjoyed the beach area, the shallow swimming optionand the fun snorkeling space right off the hotel. The swimming pools were great and we appreciated the convenient hours they were open. We didn't take advantage of the snacks next to the main pool area but it was nice to know we had the option. The spa services exceeded our expectations and the staff members were knowledgeable and very talented. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and always available. The nightly entertainment was a fun option making everyone smile, there was something different every night. We were big fans of our room and our private balcony overlooking the beautiful garden area. The room was very relaxing, the beds were comfortable and everything was cleaned very thoroughly. A Word of Caution: We were not able to play in the Kids Club even though we visited during operating hours and there were no restrictions/signs posted. Also, we were consistently (and annoyingly) asked by staff members for us to participate in a 90-minute presentation to promote their Gold Member Club.

Vacation. Too big and too loud. Food was good and staff were in the main excellent. Lovely mayan architecture but too many rooms on a small footprint of land resulting in wait tines for the restaurants.

We booked this trip because the price was very good and our usual hotel was not open. We don't stay in town, but for the price we were willing to gamble. First time staying here. Check in was VERY slow. When we arrived they had 4 people checking in but soon only 2 were left and it took about an hour to check in. I wish they would give you a map and any info on the property, we just had to figure it out. We were happy that they upgraded our room to Oceanview at no additional cost. We were put in tower 1, 8th floor. Beautiful view and nice room, we did have a little problem getting it cool, but maintenance fixed it for us. We only got to stay in that room for 2 days and then they moved us to tower 2 because Hurricane Zeta was coming. They gave us Oceanview in that tower too. Nice room and the air worked wonderful, almost to good. The air conditioner in 2802 works really well. FOOD at Buffet - we are use to all- inclusive resorts and this one was fair. The food was NEVER hot, mostly warm. Sometimes COLD. It really is too bad. They just need to turn up the heat. Even the soups in the heated caldrons were not hot. Nacho cheese was never hot. FOOD at the Mexican/Italian Restaurants- we did enjoy both, but the 2nd week they closed the buffet for dinner and we got really tired of just the 2 restaurants. Workers- everyone was very friendly and they were the best part of the resort. No complaints with any of the staff. Pools/grounds- half the resort is closed and we were very disappointed that the pier was closed. We were told it was damaged by the hotel, but found out that it was closed because of the dive shop not being onsite anymore. We had to take a taxi to the marina each day and that cost us an extra $12 a day. We were there for Hurricane Zeta and Tropical Storm Etta and the resort did everything to keep us safe. Check-Out- was slow. I'm not sure we would stay here again, it would depend on the price and if they open up the whole resort.

Great place to stay while diving with Dive With Martine (David) The Staff at Grand Park Royal Cozumel was outstanding, especially the cleaning ladies' and the waters at the Italian and Mexican restaurants Especially Fernando. Due to the Hurricane just passing one of the pools was not open yet. The dock was locked off due to other reasons, which made it more of a problem to get on the Dive boat
