We spent a week at Lions Dive with a group of friends diving. We had an oceanfront room. The resort had some great things and some not so great. The good: roped off, calm area at the beachfront for swimming and snorkeling. The lap pool. Use of the full size gym next door. Nice beachfront. Proximity to restaurants and shopping at the mini mall next door. Proximity to dive operation. Free shuttle. The not so good: extremely loud music from Mambo beach next door and the resort itself. Saturday night music sounded like a firing range and went on until 11 pm... we almost packed up and left. Balcony is not private and can be loud and smoky if neighbors are loud. Hemingway’s is a nice setting but food and service were terrible. Hotel staff in general were rude. The whole beach towel thing is ridiculously difficult. People are on the beach before 6 am saving all of the shady spots, so good luck finding shade... Dive guides were terrible, swam too fast and never looked back and lost one of our group on day one and SIX of us were left behind at the mushroom forest dive, so we missed the blue room. And we are all experienced divers! Because of how noisy the resort was and how rude the staff and most guests were, we would not go back.

    Best resort in Curacao!

We stayed at Lion's Dive for eight nights and loved everything about the resort. Our apartment was clean and well maintained by the housekeepers everyday. The WiFi was excellent all around the grounds and in the apartment. With three restaurants and nearby Mombo Beach, we didn't really need the car we rented. Hemingway restaurant was superb for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Olympic sized pool was fantastic for morning laps, and the protected ocean inlet great for snorkeling and relaxing without constant wave activity. We used the Dive shop behind Hemingway's three different days. Ocean Enterprise was one of the best operations I have ever seen. They have 4 large boats and offer tons of activities- like night dives, dives with dolphin, etc. The Seaquarium of Curacao is 100 yards from the resort, also well worth visiting. There is a free shuttle to downtown Willemstad offered in the morning and afternoon. The spa and gym are topnotch, with everything you need to enjoy your stay in Curacao. Overall, I would give the resort 5 out of 5 stars.

This was our first trip to Curacao, and we were there to dive. Lions Dive was a great choice, clean and comfortable with an awesome dive shop attached. We had a two bedroom/two bath apartment with a kitchenette on the north side of the resort. The rooms were nicely appointed and spacious. We especially loved the folding patio doors that allowed us to open the living room into the balcony, making it all a huge open outdoor area to catch the ocean breezes. The kitchen included a full size refrigerator, a microwave, a dishwasher and a stovetop. The balcony had a table for six, two lounge chairs, and a very convenient drying rack. The resort is spacious, with beautifully maintained gardens, two swimming pools, tons of beach front with lots of chaises, and four restaurants. We rented a car for our stay, and the hotel had plentiful free, secure parking. I would also like to point out that this resort had the best wifi of any resort I have ever stayed in around the world. The wifi covered the entire grounds and was fast and consistent. Notes regarding room choice: We were on the far north end of the resort (dive shop and aquarium are on the southern end). Next to this end of the resort is a small beachfront shopping area, a (non-hotel) restaurant, and a bizarre, lone carnival ride. Every night there was significant noise from the carnival ride and the restaurant. (Think loud, blaring music with lots of bass until 2am or later.) The windows on that side of our apartment weren’t really windows, they were part of non-climate-controlled rooms of the apartment and therefore were just wood screens. Nothing to keep the noise out. If we closed off those rooms it made the noise less noticeable, but I would not have wanted to stay in those rooms with young children who were trying to sleep.

Great place with wonderful beach and great location. however, it is about 2km to the nearest supermarket, the shuttle goes 2 times a day. but otherwise you are locked to respect's high prices. 17-23 $ for a pizza and 8-10 $ for a beer. count on a regular lunch of $ 50-70. Reception staff and housekeeping performing very well and also bartenders at Hemingway and a lots of serving staff. But many who work here as serving staff, etc. lack a total sense of service, unpleasant, you can repeat your orders 2-3 Times, have not seen one happy face from the serving staff from the pizza restaurant during these two weeks! Cred to Rosie at Hemingway she was so Cure with the kids everyday. Tip Here well!
