We do quite a lot of traveling around the world and got to know many hotels, but this hotel really impressed us. Starting when we got off the car till leaving the hotel, only friendly, helpful employees - always with a smile on their faces. Great room - big enough with a gorgeous view over the ocean, very good restaurants. They obviously invest money in the education of their employees, cause nearly everyone could tell you something new, from waiter till bellman - we were really impressed. So a 5 star ranking - the employees combined with the perfect spot and hotel - this makes the vacation!!! Thanks to all and congratulation to the management!

The rooms in this hotel are worn and not what we would expect for the price tag. We had several issues: refrigerator was lukewarm but fixable once staff came to turn the temp down; pull out bed was broken which made it difficult to get out and once out the head went downhill - this was not fixable. Pool area had too many cabanas (as compared to number of regular chairs) that were priced at $199/day. In one section , where our kids wanted to swim, there were only 2 umbrellas. This made it so that we had to choose between an extra $199/day fee vs sunburn vs inability to watch our kids. Unacceptable. We got several texts from concierge asking how they could make our stay better. I told them about this and they texted back “one moment please” and never got back to me. Pool service was below par. We had to go to the pool restaurant twice within 30 min to ask if we could order food there. They told us twice that they would instead send a server down. This person never arrived. They are supposed to provide free snorkel gear and boogie boards to guests. However they won’t do it if there is a red flag at the beach. I asked them if they ever have any other color than red and they said yes we have a yellow flag if there are jelly fish. I was also told we couldnt get a boogie board because of 1 (small) exposed rock. Which means that they are actually not ever available. To be clear, everyone was swimming at this beach and plenty of people were using their own boogie boards. Food was incredibly overpriced, even compared to other food options at non resort restaurants in the area. This includes drinks at the pool The good parts were: Good scenery, overall good concierge service. Quick delivery when we needed towels in the room etc. the “free” canoe ride was fun. Despite all of the issues noted above, all of the staff were kind and nice. They seemed to understand that the resort policies were out of line. Summary: the hotel is over worn and they are overly worried about lawyers and nickel and diming their guests. This should not be happening for the price we paid to stay here. We won’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to friends or family.

My husband and I spent last week here for our 10th anniversary. At check in, our view was upgraded due to our celebration which was so thoughtful, plus sparkling rose in the room. The suite was spacious and the balcony had a great view. Every person (with the exception of one rather snarky girl working at valet) was beyond helpful. A super special shout out to everyone at the concierge desk and to Tyler who oversees the pool area, who gave us the absolute best recommendations for dinner. If you are smart, you will hunt him down, he’s quite the foodie :). I would like to note a few things; we did not have problems finding a chair by any pool, Nicks is meh so eat at Ko, tons of families checking in for spring break so couples be aware this time of year. The locals are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met (and I live in the Midwest) they genuinely want you to experience their island and culture. I took off a half of star for small details; there was paint peeling in a few areas outside the doorway of our room, one morning at breakfast I got a stained napkin, there is practically no storage in the room and bathroom. That being said, I would come back in a heartbeat. Mahalo!

This was our at least 6th visit. We took my wife’s sister and husband who had never been to Hawaii. The service we received was fabulous. Our accommodations were exactly as arranged and check in was a breeze. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and just the right amount of variety each day. I was really impressed with our maid service each day. I used room service twice while there and it was with two different room service attendants. They were both excellent. It is a privilege to stay here.

    Lovely!

We had a very nice, relaxing time at this hotel. We found the staff to be attentive and pleasant, always referring to us by name. The restaurants were delicious. The facilities were perfectly fine but not completely state of the art. No complaints at all but you will not find an infinity pool like you will find at neighboring hotels and although our room was fine, some updates would welcome.
